Direction: Select two classifications of recreational activities and illustrate its differences and
similarities by describing it and giving of examples. Write your answers in your answer sheet. Choose
two only

1. Is recreational activity beneficial to everyone for all ages? Explain your answer.
Recreational activities are beneficial for all ages. For example, dance activities like hiphop,
street dancing, and any dances that requires a lot exertion of energy are often played by children
and teenagers. These dances build their bodies to be healthy and fit. Hence, social skills are also
nurtured by interacting with different people in friendly or competitive setting. On the other
hand, recreational for adults to old age can be more on sports (mostly friendly competition). For
their old bodies, they can’t keep up with the pace, hence, they required to exercise to maintain
their good health. Most common sport played is badminton which is easy to play with. Or maybe,
they can play instruments and play in an orchestra. Moreover, all ages can play indoor and
outdoor activities

2. How can you preserve our indigenous games now a day? Can you do something about it? LATER
Indigenous games are also called traditional games which commonly played by children
using native materials or instruments such as patintero, piko and so on. We also played
these kind of games but as we grow up and the development of gadgets, we stopped
playing these games anymore. So, in order to preserve indigenous games, we can install
these games to school activities to preserve the nature of the game. We can also play it
casually or during fiesta in the community playing with neighborhoods increasing the
harmony of each other

3. Explain the difference between leisure and recreation, with each values and characteristics.
Recreation are practices are often undertaken for the purpose of entertainment,
amusement, or pleasure, and are regarded as "fun." It can be in any different forms such as games
and sports, music activities, dramas, dances, etc. which can be played outdoor and indoors. In
one's spare time, recreation entails engaging in activities that recharge and refresh one's energy.
On the other hand, leisure is a free time and use it in our disposal whether use it in unique way –
it can be good or bad. One example of leisure is playing computer games which lasted for couple
of hours.
