About This Document

Purpose
This document describes how to upgrade SMU02B V2 version or Upgraded version of
SMU02B V2 version via Web/NetEco to SMU02B V500R002C20SPC005 and provides the
common-fault rectification methods, operations, and tool use guide.

Intended Audience
This document is intended for upgrade personnel. Upgrade personnel must:
 Be familiar with the product networking and related SMU versions.
 Have device maintenance experience and be familiar with device operation and
maintenance.

1 Before You Start

1.1 Application Scope

Before upgrading, if using Upgrade Tool to upgrade, make sure that our customer promises us
to connect their power system with personal computer, otherwise don't upgrade software of
their power system.

1.4 Precautions
After upgrading SMU02B by Upgrade Tool, its historical data and user-defined parameter
configurations will all be cleared.
If the source version before the upgrade is SMU02B V2 version or Upgraded version of
SMU02B V2 version via Web/NetEco, you need to obtain and feedback the current system
type of the site before the upgrade so that we can provide the corresponding system individual
configuration file, and after the software upgrade is completed must import the corresponding
system individual configuration file provided by us, and manually configure the basic
installation parameters and user-defined parameters according to the actual situation of the
site.
If unexpected issue occurs during upgrade, please re-upgrade or contact to the native TAC.

2 Preparing for the Upgrade

2.1 Obtain and feedback the current system type of the site
If the source version before the upgrade is SMU02B V2 version or Upgraded version of
SMU02B V2 version via Web/NetEco, you need to obtain and feedback the current system
type of the site before the upgrade so that we can provide the corresponding system individual
configuration file.
Methods:
a. Feedback the BOQ or contract number of the current power system.
b. Feedback the label of the current power system cabinet, for example:

c. Export and feedback the E-label of the current power system on SMU02B WebUI.

2.3 Connect the PC and SMU02B

You need to prepare a PC and a normal network cable, and connect the PC and SMU02B.

2.4 Setting IP Address, Subnet Mask, and Gateway

The default IP address of SMU02B is 192.168.0.10. The default URL which can be used to
access SMU02B is https://192.168.0.10/. Set the IP address, subnet mask, and default
gateway of the SMU02B on the LCD screen base on the IP address allocated by customers.
The LCD default password of SMU02B V200R002C01SP10 version or lower than SMU02B
V200R002C01SP10 version is 001, and the LCD default password of higher than SMU02B
V200R002C01SP10 is 000001.
LCD Network Parameters Menu:
SMU02B V2 version: Quick Settings -> (Comm Para)IP Address, Subnet Mask,
Gateway.
SMU02B V3 or V5 version: Setting Wizard -> Network Parameters -> IP Address,
Subnet Mask, Default Gateway.
Set the IP address, subnet mask and default gateway of your computer, it should be in the
same subnet of SMU02B, but with different IP address, for example:

2.5 Enable the upgrade channel(ignore this section when

the SMU02B current version is higher than
V200R002C01SP10)
For SMU02B V200R002C01SP10 or lower version the upgrade channel is disabled by
default. If you really need to upgrade, you need to enable the upgrade channel as follows:
Step 1 Click “System Reboot” on SMU02B WebUI:

Step 2 Click “Sure”, and immediately simultaneously press and hold the “Enter” key and the

“Down” key on the monitor panel until the LCD displays language selection interface:

3 Performing the Upgrade

3.1 Open The Upgrade Tool

The upgrade software package and upgrade tool must be laid up in the same directory.

Double click SMU(E) OneKeyUpdateTool 4.0.8.exe and choose the PC IP:

If the upgrade tool has been opened or the TFTP service of the PC is working, it will be failed
as shown in the below picture:

a. Check whether the upgrade tool has been opened, if it does, close all the opened
windows and open the upgrade tool again.
b. If the upgrade tool hasn’t been opened, check whether the TFTP service of the PC
has been opened, if it does, close all the service and open the upgrade tool again.

3.2 Setting Parameters

Set the parameters as follows:

 Different SMU02B V2 version login passwords are different:

Current Version Root Password Enspire Password

V200R002C01SP10 or lower version admin Changeme

Higher than V200R002C01SP10 000001 Changeme

 Must select the APP and BSP together

3.3 Start Upgrade

Click the Update button.

This step will take 20mins, and the dialog message will pop up after upgrading successfully.

4 Verifying the Upgrade

4.1 Verify By LUI

Procedure
Using SMU02B LUI, enter the main menu, click the cancel key twice, then the LUI display
the current version like this.

Expected Results
The current version information is consistent with software package.

4.2 Verify By WebUI

Procedure
Log in SMU02B WebUI, and click Maintenance, then click Version Information, as shown
below:

5 Importing the System Individual File

5.1 Importing the System Individual File By WebUI

If the source version before the upgrade is SMU02B V2 version or Upgraded version of
SMU02B V2 version via Web/NetEco, you need to obtain and feedback the current system
type of the site before the upgrade so that we can provide the corresponding system individual
configuration file, and after the software upgrade is completed must import the corresponding
system individual configuration file provided by us.
Log in SMU02B WebUI, and click System Settings-Site Configuration, then select the
corresponding system individual configuration file provided by us and upload, as shown
below(take ETP48200 as an example):

6 Configuring the basic installation

parameters and user-defined parameters

6.1 Configuring the basic installation parameters

After completing the upgrade and restarting, the SMU02B's LCD will stay on the language
selection interface, waiting for the basic installation parameter settings. You can follow the
setup wizard on the LCD screen to complete the settings.

6.2 Configuring the user-defined parameters

After the software upgrade is completed, you need to manually configure the user-defined
parameters according to the actual situation of the site.
