    Cultural Mitsuha is a priestess devoted to the God Musubi, the deity that governs
    experiences and human connections. Her family has tradition called
    “Kuchikamizake”, a method of creating sake that involves chewing of rice to
    activate its fermentation.
    Political Politics is the sphere of the father, where he exercises his legal authority over
    his legal constituents.

    The movie shows how deeply traditions are embedded into the
    fabric of Japanese society.
