2 Low Voltage Cables

2.1 Supply and installation of multi-core copper conductors XLPE

insulated distribution & lighting cables (direct buried or in conduit
cables). Work includes handholes (cable draw-pits) for cables
distribution between substation & various panels and also at road
crossings, cable branches and Minor Streets. The handholes
shall include lean concrete, molds, treatment (standard
cylindrical strength 25 MP-N/mm2 after 28 days) according to
specifications of Ministry of Municipal Affairs and shall include
the frame and the heavy duty cast iron cover (as per BS 497
sizes: 500x500mm & 600x600mm) and the excavation in all
kinds of soils including rocks, backfilling with compaction on
layers, surface leveling and all other related works, laying,
junction, sand bed, conduits if needs and all materials
surrounding the cable, tiles / blocks above cables, warning tape,
cable numbering and all annexed works according to drawings
and technical specifications to achieve the complete taking over
of the work. Payment shall be affected as follows:

2.1.2 Copper cable, 4 core, 16mm2 armored. Lm 1,400.00

2.1.3 Copper cable, 4 core, 10mm2 armored. Lm 1,360.00
2.1.4 Copper cable, 4 core, 6mm2 armored. Lm 7,400.00
2.1.5 Copper cable, 2 core, 6mm2 armored. Lm 150.00
2.1.6 Copper cable, non-isolated, cross section 16 mm2 for grounding. Lm 1,400.00
2.1.7 Copper cable, non-isolated, cross section 10 mm2 for grounding. Lm 1,360.00
2.1.8 Copper cable, non-isolated, cross section 6 mm2 for grounding. Lm 7,400.00

4 Low voltage, Multi core cables, Aluminum Conductor:

Supply and installation of low voltage, Aluminum conductor
cables, XLPE insulated and overall PVC sheated cables, all as
per specification. Work includes making trenches, splicing and
termination as required. All works including trenching, backfilling
etc. shall be carried out as per latest SEC standards,
specifications and design drawings. Also to include testing and
commissioning of the system and all expenses associated with
this works as shown on the Contract drawings or as specified in
the Contract document.
