Chemical materials (indicator)

 Cleaning materials:
A wide variety of cleaning materials are used in the home for different uses,
including soaps, liquids (paste and powder), disinfectants, flavorings, fabric
softeners, bleaches and stain removers; to polish and clean windows, among
others. These substances are of great benefit, since they contribute to
maintaining hygiene within the home and people, which is necessary to
maintain health. However, the inappropriate use of these substances also has
its risks, both for one's own health and care for the environment. That is why
it is necessary to know the correct use of each one in the required amounts
and which of these substances can be used together.

 Medicines:
In all homes there are different types of medicine, which are used for various
types of health problems or for prevention, which must be known the proper
use of the same, and those that require a medical prescription, should not be
used without proper indication as it can affect health and can lead to death.

 Cosmetics:
Another type of chemical substances used are cosmetics, perfumes and
creams, as well as hair products, which, although they are less risky, must
also know the proper use of them, which must be combined to use them
properly.

 Risks in improper use:


The combination of some substances such as chlorine and toilet cleaners, if
used simultaneously, can produce toxic gases
Although chlorine is very beneficial as a disinfectant, since it kills viruses
and bacteria in inadequate amounts, it can be toxic, especially when it is
used to disinfect water and food.
Many cleaning substances come in spray, as well as insecticides which cause
damage to the environment, and contribute to the reduction of the ozone
layer.
