Activity 1. Define the following basic concepts in ICT education.
1. Technology

 Is a science or knowledge put into practical use to solve problems or invent

useful tools.

2. Techne

 Derived from the greek term meaning art or craft

3. Educational Technology

 is "a complex, integrated process involving people, procedures, ideas, devices,

and organization for analyzing problems and devising, implementing, evaluating,

and managing solutions to those problems, involved in all aspects of human

learning

4. Instructional Technology

 is a systematic way of designing, carrying out, and evaluating the total process of

learning and teaching in terms of specific objectives


5. Technology Integration

 means using learning technologies to introduce, reinforce, supplement and

extend skills

Activity 3: Based on your experiences, what is the role of educational technology in the
flexible learning modality (online/modular/blended) in education?
 Technology provides students with easy to access information, accelerated
learning, and fun opportunity to practice what they learn. It enable students to
explore new subject and deepen their understanding of difficult concepts.
Activity 4: Create your own policy proposal in relation to the use of ICT in the
classroom.
Focus Question: Problems of Student in Using ICT tools and the Solution could be
applied to solve it.

Problem Statement:
Using ICT tools can give Students easy access to information and deepen their
understanding. They can learn new subjects and widen their knowledge. But despite of
these there are Problems that Students encounter in Using ICT tools.
I. Unstable Internet Connection
One of the biggest problems faced by Students is Unstable Internet Connection.
Without Internet Access at home is their inability to complete their homework’s, Do their
research and sending document related in subjects. It can also affect the Students

II. Lack of Time Management
When Students don’t keep up with studies, you’re less able to understand or
engage with new material, so your lack of time management can create a bad cycle for

III. Limited Accessibility
Limited Accessibility can affect the academic of the Students. For example in
Online Class or in Modular if the Student don’t have smartphone how can he/she
access in Google Meet to attend Class or to download Module.

Solutions:
I. Unstable Internet Connection
For the Students that have Unstable Internet Connection the teacher should use
pre-recorded content instead of live class session. Use text chat to start lessons and set
assignment. Limit video in live class sessions until you know the technology limitations
of students in the class.
II. Lack of Time Management
Give the Students information about what new materials will the teacher use to
avoid wasting time. Some tips may help them in how to use the new material that the
teacher will use.
III. Limited Accessibility
For the Student that have limited accessibility in class like smartphones the
Teacher can give them hard copy of their module so that they can submit their outputs.
