1 Talk about National celebration (event)

I’m going to talk about … Tet holiday which is very important

to Vietnamese people. It’s time for family to meet each other
after long days of working. Before tet, people clean their
house and decorate(trang tri) with beautiful flowers to
welcome guests. Moreover, people cook many delicious foods
and enjoy with their family. At tet holiday, I go visit
relatives( họ hàng) and receive lucky money so I’m very
happy. I love tet holiday and I think it’s the most important
day of Vietnam. Thank you for listening!

I’m going to talk about my 18th birthday party which is very

important to me. It was to celebrate( chúc mừng) my
important part of life when I became an adult.
Before my birthday, I cleaned my house and decorate with
many colorful balloons, then I invited all of my friends and
relatives to join. During the party, we sang happy birthday
song and made a wish and blowed out the candles and we
enjoy the birthday cake. We played cards game and we were
very happy. I received many wonderful gifts so I really like

3. Talk about a TV program you don’t like. You

- Why you dislike it
I’m going to talk about a TV show that I don’t like
so much. It is a show for kids. You know, I’m a
college student so I’m very busy with my study.
When I study, my baby sister always turn on the
TV and watch kids shows that really ennoy me. I
can not focus on my homework and that makes
me angry. The TV host talks very loud and funny
but my sister really like it because she is just a
baby. So I have to put up with that learn how to
like the TV show.
4 Talk about a person you dislike most. You should

- Why you dislike him/her
I’m going to talk about a person that I don’t like so
much. She is ThoNguyen, a TV host for a kid show.
You know, I’m a college student so I’m very busy
with my study. When I study, my baby sister
always turn on the TV and watch kids shows that

I’m going to talk about my first day at university
school. At that day, I went to HLU by myself and I
felt a bit lonely because I saw everyone else with
their family. But when I met new friends I quickly
forget about that. I went visit the new school and
the students house and it impressed me because it
was so clean and modern. Me and my roommates
got on well really quickly, they were so friendly
and we talked and share many things with each
other. It was so memorable for me and it will

in your life. You should say:

How you felt when you made this choice
I’m going to talk about an important choice I made
that changed my life. Well you know, health is very
valuable to me because I was overweight, I had to
make up my mind to keep fit. I decided to change
my lifestyle include my eating habits and doing
excercises. First, everyday I eat a lot of vegetables
and fruits. Moreover, I drink a lot of water and
stay away junk food because it’s high in fats. I also
go to the gym and do more excercises everyday. So
this change does me a lot of goods for my life.
