-Success Story-

(The First Year of The INCOME GENERATING PROJECT from Planting Ornamental Plants)

“You Reap what you sow.”

Putting up a project is not just a simple thing. It takes a lot of effort and stamina for one to

be able to carry out and accomplish tasks successfully.

The last year’s Income Generating project with a title, “May Pera sa Taniman,” which was

spearheaded by ___________________, who is a Master Teacher II of the school was indeed an

astounding and a successful endeavor of the school. This was started on July of 2019 with the goal of

raising funds from the sold plants of the learners and will be used in the procurement of some

school gardening tools as well as a source for financial assistance to whatever undertakings and

events the school will hold.

Right after the planning phase of the project, the proponent and the participants had

immediately implemented the planting of ornamental plants within their home backyards. Each

learner together with their parents had to do the daily process of propagating the plants for about a

month before the marketing process. This endeavor also became a chance for them to have a

bonding as they learn the process of hand-on propagation of ornamental plants.

After several months, the propagation of ornamental plants was successfully done and

monitored. Majority of the seedlings had survived. After collecting all the amount from the sold

plants, the assigned parent as the treasurer had to do the auditing with the auditor, with the

presence of the Proponent as the witness for transparency purposes.

 Then, the class had to start purchasing additional gardening stuffs to be used by the future

learners in their class. Also, the rest of the funds were also used in some school endeavors.

Truly an amazing year of success through planting. This had instilled in the learner’s minds that

there are recreational activities that can be done to achieve a future productivity and progress. As

long as there is patience and effort, everything is possible.

This income generating activity for its first year will still be pursued for the next school year to

strengthen more the learner’s ability in entrepreneur.
