Individual learning priority: Moving confidently and challenging themselves physically.

Kholoud, I observed you the other day as you were wandering around the bike area. When you
spotted a scooter that raised your interest and you decided to try it. You are a careful and
talented learner, very observant. Carefully you watch other children before you try something
yourself. As you did today, when your friend Cham using that scooter you were watching her. As
soon as she stopped you decided to have a go, to explore with it.
Probably this was the first time you were trying to ride a scooter. To master a scooter riding is
not that easy. However Kholoud, I am so pleased to see that you were persistent. You tried very
hard to stand upright and keep balance, while one foot on the scooter and the other on the
ground to push forward. You needed careful eye-foot-body co-ordination and lots of
concentration. As you managed to go a little further your spirit raised. Kept trying, pushing
harder until you reached to the end of the playground. Then you felt a little difficulty to turn the
scooter. But you wouldn’t give up, figured out a solution which was very clever of you. You just
climbed down and turned the scooter using your both hands, then started again. Ka pai
Kholoud! What a great achievement!

Learning taking place:


Through this experience Kholoud was
haveing lot of fun as well as
increasing eye- feet co-ordination
Developing concentration,
Strengthening muscles.
What’s next?
Kholoud, In sha Allah we will ensure to
provide plenty of opportunities where you
will be able to practice more to master the
scooter riding as well as bike riding.
