ESP/AESP Registration Info Sessions


We recommend that you attend one of our Registration Information Sessions.
The sessions offer:

are approximately 2 hours in length.

To complete this form


1. Read the Course Descriptions posted on the website to identify courses of interest. ESP/AESP students take 1.0 First-
Year Seminar, and a maximum of 2.0 elective credits.
2. Consult the Class and Workshop Schedules and use the blank schedule sheets enclosed to
Course Times
avoid choosing conflicting courses for your top choices (i.e. your top FYSM choice and top M=Monday
2 electives and their workshops). Note: Some elective courses have more than one section T= Tuesday
and are listed on the reverse side twice; this is the same course, just taught at different times W=Wednesday
(possibly) by different instructors. The time each section is offered is listed below the course R=Thursday
title. Choose the section according to what works with your other courses and your own F=Friday
preferences. *For example, courses
3. On the reverse of this form rank the four first-year seminars that most interest you, in listed TR 1005-1125,
are offered both
order of preference. We will register you in just one seminar. (Hopefully, your first choice, Tuesday and Thursday
as long as it’s not full and works with your other course and workshop choices.) from 1005 to 1125.
AESP and second-year students do not have to rank choices of FYSM.
4. On the reverse of this form rank the five elective courses/credits that most interest you, in
order of preference. We will register you in 2.0 credits. Hopefully, you’ll get your first two choices, as long as they are
not full and work with each other (including the workshops that correspond to each choice) and your FYSM choice.
5. Fill all fields and sign the form.
6. We will make the final selection of the one seminar and the two elective credits and register you in courses and
workshops.
7. We will start processing registration forms the week of July 25th. See the Student Handbook & Registration Guide for
details on how to check your timetable on Carleton Central.

• Courses are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
• If you cannot attend a Registration Information Session, return your form to the ESP Office by fax, email or mail.
• Please note priority will be given to those that are submitted at the first registration session on July 18th.
