SPECIFIC COURSE INFORMATION

COURSE Aside from preparing law students for the Bar Examinations on the topic, this
DESCRIPTION: course intends to let law students truly appreciate the real intention behind the
passage of various transportation laws which is to promote safety whether
transportation is by land, water or air.

INSTITUTIONAL LEARNING OUTCOMES

1. To think critically and appreciate the concepts of a common carrier and private carrier.
2. For students to master the New Civil Code provisions on Common Carriers relating to vigilance over goods
and safety of passengers.
3. To put emphasis on road safety laws, traffic rules and regulations, and road safety.
4. To identify and propose legislative measures, whether national or local, promoting road safety.
5. To have a meaningful discourse about aviation and maritime law.
6. To prepare the students to possible private practice relating to transportation or reckless imprudence cases.

SPECIFIC GOALS FOR THE COURSE

COURSE INTENDED LEARNING OUTCOMES (CILO):

At the end of the semester, 100% of the students are expected to apply in real situations the basics of
transportation laws.
