1. (a) Derive the expression of BIBO stability for an LTI system. [2]
(b) Show that the output of an LTI system is the convolution between the input and desired
impulse response. [2]

(d) Determine the direct form II realization of the following LTI systems:
i. 2y(n) + y(n − 1) − 4y(n − 3) + 5y(n − 5) = x(n) + 3x(n − 5)
ii. y(n) + 2y(n − 1) + 3y(n − 2) = x(n) − x(n − 1) + 2x(n − 2)

transforms of the following signals

2. (a) Explain briefly the low pass filter and high pass filter using the position of pole and zeros. [2]

3. (a) State & proof the sampling theorem for a band limited analog signal. [3]
(b) Explain about the quantization noise process. [2]

4. (a) Find the z-transform of the following signal.


i. y(n) = an cos(x(n)) [1.5]
ii. y(n) = cos(x(n)) + nx(n) [1.5]
(b) Explain the ADC with suitable block diagram. [2]

5. (a) Proof the Parseval’s relation for (i) Discrete-time Fourier transform (ii) Discrete-time
Fourier series (iii) Continuos time Fourier transform (iv) Continuos time Fourier series. [5]
