Write a 2500-word individual essay on the following topic:
“Critically discuss and evaluate the role of microeconomics in a Private Enterprise.”
Any specific instructions:
Candidates are required to include the following points in their works:
 Provide a background of the concepts used for discussion.
 Select one or more small and medium business organizations as examples.
 Provide a brief history of the Enterprise.
 Recognise and distinguish the advantages and the disadvantages of the microeconomic concepts
utilized.
 Discuss how the performance of the organisation has impacted.
 Justify your arguments in depth and make a conclusion.

Marking scheme:

Application of literature & data For this you need to show that you have well researched the topic
and have a good grasp of the broader context (provide evidence of
wider reading). Refer to history of the organisation. Use the
relevant data/figures to support your arguments.

topic, showing knowledge and understanding through thorough
and appropriate research. You will need to provide relevant
arguments to discuss the advantages and disadvantages of the
