Human Resource Management

Human resource management (HRM) is an approach in which people in an

organization or company are effectively and efficiently managed to assist the organization to

achieve a competitive advantage over its rivals.

Human resource management is utilized to improve and enhance organizational goals

such as recruitment and training of employees and to maintain a healthy and effective

workforce. Some of the staffing activities in HRM include; giving equal opportunities to all

applicants while hiring, identifying and developing the needed talents, and fair compensation

of employees based on their qualifications and activities handled by each. These activities

allow an organization to comply with the legal requirements such as payment of taxes, and

insuring employees. Also, human resource ensures a progressive career development program

is put in place and helps identify employees' strengths and weaknesses. (Wolf et al., 2014).

Trends shaping the evolution and future of human resource management include

working remotely. As a result of the current outbreak of Covid-19 globally, most of the

companies' and organization's employees have shifted away from traditional work model to

that of working from home remotely. (Bostrom, 2004). Most companies and organizations

are investing in making their employees improve their competitive advantage through

training them. Artificial intelligence such as application software and cloud computing

greatly assist HRM professionals in recruitment of candidates through merits. Another trend

of human resource believes that business delivers value through in and outside approach.

These trends in human resource will offer guidance to success using an organizational

guidance system, which identifies the outcomes related to four spheres that are critical to the

success of a business for example; organizational talents and leadership.
