Romantic English

The joy and the beauty of Shelley's poetry stems from the fact that you
might not be the only romantic poet who tries to mate between what is
didactical and what is poetic at the same time. Wordsworth said that the
purpose of romantic poetry is to give the immediately pleasure which
means to entertain, to draw the attention to the beauty of poetry and to
show the majestic and magisterial touches of the romantic poets their
language, their image, the spirit they put into poetry to charge their verses
with the majesty of verses, and at the same time to call the attention to the
beauty of nature, of human experience, the beauty of human emotions.
When we come to Shelley, he seems to be a poet who tries to call the
attention for a kind of message that he wants his forces to convey. Shelley
is a visionary poet, is moralist, us aesthetics and aesthetician would like
to add touch of beauty of joy, of love and the same time of didacticism to
his verses.
Shelly amalgamates, synthesizes the personal with the universal in order
to create something that both appeals to his personal emotions and ideas,
and at the same time ideas which are concerned with the testing of human
being.

Shelley's poem praises the freedom, embodied power that, after centuries
of deep sleep, appears to be in the edge of awaken after long time.

Alaster
The poem talks about an emotional state of being lovely. It is not physical
state in literature are we have to kind of alienation. The poet here feels
alienated. We have psychological alienation or personal alienation when
the poet alienated himself from the rest of the people because he feels that
no one can understand him, no one can get really what the poets wants to
say and he always misunderstood this is what we call personally or
psychologically alienation. The second kind of alienation is social
alienation is when the society alienate the person because something that
the person does.

The poem is written by a poet who is it trying to envision death who is

trying to foretell what death is, he was diseased he suffered from
tuberculosis consumption and the Doctor said he had very few times to
live so he was contemplating death, departure from life so nothing
satisfies the power that why he is made this spiritual journey toward the
world of unknown. The poem is more like metaphysical poem because
the poet tries to go beyond what is physical, what is known, what is
ordinary and this journey remind us of the same extent of Kubla Khan,
the spiritual journey the spiritual journey that also Coleridge made to
dome of Kubla. This is why that’s nothing can satisfy the hunger of the
poet except something that doesn't belong to this earth even the love that
he is envisions, the lady he saw, the kind of experience that he meets in
his travelogue, that he meets in his adventure, all of them don't belong to
this life, they belong to the life that is beyond our life, so nothing on earth
neither nature or not-natural can satisfy the hunger of the poet.

Ode to the west wind

The first few stanzas the poet describes the power of the west wind, how
the west wind capable of creating a very clear impact in nature. Its
capable of creating a very clear impact in nature, its capable of destroying
moving and carrying the dead leaves and the dead seeds and then as an
actor of destroyer as the poet describes the west wind and also describes
its ability to preserve, to keep and to regenerates so, the act of the west
wind is very important and very significant to the poet and this is the
source of his infatuation with west wind because the poet believes that if
Romantic English

he has this power of the west wind could change the world and that's why
he shows his love and his administration for the west wind because it has
this unfordable power, this power that can not be controlled, that cannot
be defied, cannot be challenged, it is this invincible power that the poet
wants to have in order to change the world because he feels that the world
really needs this kind of west wind to be changed.

To the Skylark
The poem is about a dream of a freedom the poet doesn't feel free even in
his love that when he get married with the one he loved because of some
social standards so he had to elope with Mary to Italy to get married so
his infatuation with a freedom is very apparent in most of his poems
because he feels that he wasn't free he couldn't States his ideas freely
couldn't Express his love freely he felt in his country religious
complication were The reason behind there suppression of most of his
free ideas so he showed this infatuation in freedom when he expressed
admiration in a birth Skylark. The source of admiration comes from two
facts first the can freely fly to whatever extent it wants culminate high in
the sky without shacklements without impediments it can move like the
West Wind to whatever part it wants. The second thing it's beautiful
chirping silent voice that It produced a very interesting sound like a music
so the bird to the poet like an artist but the difference between both is this
free artist it can sing whatever it wants during day or night, it can fly to
whatever it want, it doesn't matter which season it is, and that’s why the
poet feels jealousy, envious to be honest not more than jealous because
this is a free artist, it can sing whenever it wants and it never has this
imprisonment of thought of the society, of norms and the traditions. The
interesting thing about the bird is that the beautiful sound he produce can
had a great influence on people that can had a great influence on people
that can bring tranquility, peace, joy, happiness and he wished like the
west wind and these birds simply speaking because these animals and
these birds can behave spontaneity that people and especially poets
missed because they don't enjoy it when they write poetry they have to
take into consideration many factors, they have to avoid this, they have to
avoid talking about religion, love, because they are not accepted by the
society and people.

Prometheus unbound
This poem looks more like his biography. After he escaped England,
escape the trials that he was supposed to face because of some political
and religious concerns because he was accused of atheism and then the
family of his wife accused him of manipulating their daughter, so he
escaped from there with his wife Mary Shelly and they settled in Italy.
And after they saw that Italy is a place of freedom and arts where artists
free to write about the things they want. He experienced this kind of
freedom and of course this freedom which was fault because of
unrelented kind of love that his wife gave to him and this is why this love
and this passion that made him realize how important freedom and love
are. After that he felt that he should address these issues in his poetry to
make the world feel what he felt at that moment. He merged the personal
what he felt at that moment with the universal to provide a kind of
appealing lesson that may motivate people to follow his examples
This poem simply is a kind of clash between two binary oppositions, the
forces of evil and the forces of good, the forces of love and the forces of
hate, the forces of dark and the forces of light. The perfection that Shelly
puts into Prometheus that what unbounds him is his benevolent spirit that
he in fact put into human beings and their endeavors to overcome the
powers of evil. What happens is that other creatures were inspired by
Prometheus sense of defiance and sense of benevolence. With all that
Jupiter never wanted to hurt him on the contrary he wished to help him
and he tried to provide him with knowledge and he could have the power
to defeat Jupiter but did not for one single reason
