What I Need to Know

The laboratory equipment is a technical field, which offer opportunity in learning science
through hands-on experience. Only with the help of laboratory equipment, experiments,
process controls and quality assurance are made possible. Electronic measuring
instruments or vacuum apparatuses are the most important working materials in the
field of laboratory equipment. Without the help of these important devices, the scientific
field of laboratory equipment could not exist.

In this module, you will be able to familiarized and understand the uses of Laboratory
apparatus and equipment used in Biotechnology and the proper way of proper handling
some laboratory apparatus and equipment.

In this module, it includes:

Lesson Laboratory Apparatus and Equipment Used in

1 Biotechnology

Biotechnology is technology that utilizes biological systems, organisms or parts of this to

develop or create different products.

Brewing and baking bread are examples of processes that fall within the concept of
biotechnology to produce the desired product. Such traditional processes usually utilize
the organisms in their natural form (or further developed by breeding), while the more
modern form of biotechnology will generally involve a more advanced modification of the
biological system or organism.

This will not be possible without the help of laboratory apparatus or equipment to ensure
the quality of the product.

What Is It

Laboratory Apparatus and Equipment

Laboratory equipment and apparatus are very important in the field of biotechnology.
It assures that the product produce is with high quality.
If you work in a laboratory setting, you undoubtedly encounter many kinds of expensive
and complicated instruments and machines. Knowing how to use these tools can only
benefit you. This is especially true if you are expected to use them while pursuing your
area of research and testing. Not knowing what you are doing can set you back in a
variety of ways. There are different apparatus and equipment used in biotechnology. Here
are some.
