Brotherhood of Steel
Brotherhood of Steel
History
The Brotherhood of Steel was founded by the man currently known just as the General. His history is
unknown to anyone in the Brotherhood, but rumours say he was formerly a high-ranking officer of the
Imperium. The General came to Underhive with the sole purpose of bringing order to the chaos. He
believes this can only be achieved with an iron fist and iron discipline, thus creating the strict military
conduct of the Brotherhood.
The whereabouts of the General’s headquarters is a well guarded secret, known only to the most trusted
and high-ranking officers of the Brotherhood. From this hidden base, the General leads his quest of
dominance via carefully selected task forces called Teams of Steel or just ‘Teams’ for convenience. A
Team is always commanded by an officer of the rank of Lieutenant or higher and usually has at least one
non-commissioned officer as well.

The Brotherhood is set to bring order and discipline to the Underhive. To reach this goal, they will not
only teach young fighters, but also try to convert any captured enemy fighters to their cause. The
Brotherhood believes in that everyone deserves a second chance. In addition, they strongly oppose
slavery. Thus, when an enemy fighter is captured by the Brotherhood, he/she may be normally rescued
or ransomed back. If those methods should fail, the captive cannot be sold to slavery, but is instead
subjected to the Teachings. Roll on the table below.
d6 Result
1 The captured fighter claims to accept the Brotherhood’s teachings, but at the first opportunity flees and
returns to his original gang with all his equipment. All Brotherhood members now on hate the traitor.
Should the same fighter be captured again, he is automatically executed as per result 3-4 below, with no
rescue attempt possible.
2 The captured fighter claims to accept the Brotherhood’s teachings, but at the first opportunity flees
with all his equipment and is never seen again.
3-4 The captive rejects the Brotherhood’s Teachings and claims he/she will never follow them. The fighter
is summarily executed and the Brotherhood keeps all his/her equipment.
5-6 The captured fighter embraces the Teachings of the Brotherhood. He/she becomes a member of the
Brotherhood, retaining all his/her equipment and experience. From now on, the fighter uses the
Brotherhood’s weapon and skill lists. His/her former gang members now hate the traitor.
