If you are looking for an animated movie with stunning visuals, magnificent soundtrack,
and an adventure with lots of positive messages and educational values, then your search is
finally over because a movie titled as ‘Abominable’, produced by DreamWorks Animations and
Pearl Studio, can provide all of those. The movie ‘Abominable’ was directed and written by Jill
Culton, and was produced by Suzanne Buirgy and Peilin Chou. The film focuses on a teenage
girl who encounters a mysterious magical creature on the roof of their apartment and embarks
on an epic journey with her two friends to return the magical creature to his home, though a rich
man and a zoologist is on their pursuit to capture the magical creature for their own gain.

From my personal standpoint, this movie is top-notch and a masterpiece. From

cinematography and animation to the storyline and soundtrack, everything was well-made and
is perfect as I see it. It’s like it is capable of making its audiences to fall in love with it. Sadly, this
movie was banned in some countries – namely, the Vietnam, Malaysia, and Philippines. This is
because the producers refused to cut the scene out of the film that shows a controversial nine-
dash line map in which the previously named countries do not approve.

As I mentioned earlier, the cinematography, animation, storyline, and soundtrack of this

movie is top-quality. The camera angles, transitions, effects, lightings, and colors were carefully
planned and implemented to enhance the animations, storyline, and soundtrack of the movie.
The high quality animation of the characters, fragments, steam, etc. is very evident throughout
the movie, especially at the scene at the flower field. The story is beautifully written, and is very
touching too. Everyone (children, teenagers, and even adults) will surely pick lots of lesson from
this movie, i.e. promotes teamwork, encourages close family and friend relationships, life value
recognition, etc. The soundtrack used in the movie really adds up to the spirit of the movie. I am
sure that people, especially the fans of Coldplay, will love the soundtracks of this movie. This
movie also showcases the tourist attractions in China, making the movie look like a tourism
advertisement for those places unintentionally. So do I recommend this movie for people to
watch? Absolutely!

To sum up everything that has been stated, this movie, in my own opinion, is a
masterpiece. The movie is well-produced, and the effort that had been exerted to produce this
can be obviously seen in the movie. It got banned from several countries though due to some
controversial scene that shows China’s nine-dash line, in which the producers refused to cut
from the movie. Overall, the movie is awe-inspiring and wonderful. I recommend people to
watch this movie.
