52 Comparison with Chebyshev's Theorem (below):
53

53 The theorem suggests: Let Y be a random variable with

finite mean μ and standard deviation σ. Then, for any k >
0, P(|Y − μ| < kσ) ≥ 1 − 1/k^2 or P(|Y − μ| ≥ kσ) ≤ 1/k^2.

According to the theorem, in any distribution, at least

75% of the population has lie withintwo standard
53
deviation(id est for k=2, 75% lie within μ±2σ). According
to my calculation, for this data 96.07% of population lie
within μ±2σ. So the distribution is consistent with the
theorem.

Assignment 2 -Part 2
Data Source/Link: The data is taken from ESPN (Entertainment and Sports Programming Network). ( http://www.espn.com/nba/team/schedule/_/name/gs )
Explanation on why this data has been chosen. Suggestion for the theoretical probability distribution that could fit into this data:

The data shows the matches Golden State Warriors

have played this season and the scores of the matches
against the opponents.

The data consist of last 28 matches and scores of

them. Let's take the average of the points Golden
State Warriors scored in these 28 matches and define
the scores above the average or equal the average as
"Succesful" and below the average as "Failure". This
would be a very good example for Binomial
Distribution since it is correct for all four
requirenments of Binomial Distribution. ( I have also
put a mark for the games in which they were
"Succesful".)
