Hiring the Employees of Range 1, 2 & 3:


Internal hiring is preferred in such situation by them to fill the
immediate vacancy of the branch. Internal advertisement is followed and
references play a vital role in such type of hiring to find a best suitable

with time.

While hiring external employees the Bank follow a specific


procedure.
In first step the sources of the organization are identified and the data
related to the recruiter is checked if matched with the job description. The

and relevant degree.

Bank Alfalah conducts the test in Lahore and Karachi at their specific
test centers. The test is based on general knowledge, consisting of MCQs
and short type questions. It further includes different portions like English,
Mathematics, and Analytical questions. This test is the best way to find the

career life.

The participant after clearing the test proceeds to the interview.


Interview depends on integrity, position and family background. The Bank

This test is conducted only for employees of Range 1, 2 and 3 such


as operational officer, manager operations, credit manager, and trade
manager etc and sometimes it also depends on the size of branch. A branch

investigation is conducted through references and previous employer. A very

Afterwards another long and hectic test is conducted at specified


center in Lahore and Karachi. The duration of this test is 1 hr. approx.

In the next step the related panel conducts the interview of proceeded
one. The Bank Alfalah sets a panel of at least three persons which may
vary according to the nature of the job. For example, for lower level of
employees a specified panel conducts interview. A job of IT requires a
different panel. To select regional manager the panel consists of IT
operations and credit managers. After the interview is conducted, a time of
24 hrs is given to both the parties to accept or reject the offer.

After this relief letter is issued, without it a person cannot be hired.


Then Post Hiring Document (Service Bond) is issued to the selected person.
This bond is for the period of 3 years. 35 days is the joining time. During this
period employee performance is checked out and employee also gets
familiar with the organization.

The hiring of management training officer, cash officer etc. is done at

Hiring of Contractual Employees:
The hiring procedure of Contractual Employees is same as of the
procedure of Employees having Range 1, 2 & 3 but the benefits (medical,
provident fund, gratuity etc) are different. These are the employees of
Range 1, 2. The performance of these employees is reviewed after 1 year
and if he has proved to be a good performer then he can be made a
permanent employee.

Hiring of Minor Staff:


The hiring of minor staff like peons, sweepers, watchman etc is done
through a third party that is NLI Pvt. Ltd. Company this is also known as
