The Four Daughters

Orientation

Once upon a time, there lived an old poor widow in a small wooden hut
near the jungle. The widow was Mbok Rondo Dadapan. Mbok Rondo had to
become a widow when she was only 35 years old. At that time, she was pregnant
with Rara Asih, who was 8 months pregnant. Mbok Rondo had to become a

human.

Complication

One day, a handsome strong tall good looking young man passed Mbok
Rondo Dadapan's house: That charming man was Raden Mas Arjuna. He got lost
when he was hunting near the deep green jungle. Seeing his charming look, all of
Mbok Rondo Dadapan's daughters suddenly fell in love with Raden Mas Arjuna
from the first sight.
 Raden Mas Arjuna is the son of a king named Janaka. Janaka was a King
who was famous for his generosity in the city. He always distributes food to his

appointed as his right hand man. He is a wise man, handsome, brave and brave.

When he got lost near the forest, he asked the four daughters of Mbok Rondo
Dadapan who were chatting outside the house at that time.

then, Rara Ayu's relationship with her 3 sisters has become quite tenuous. They
usually sleep together, Rara Ayu has to sleep with Mbok Rondo Dadapan. Usually
they often wash clothes together, but Rara Ayu is left alone in the river. What
used to be four of them often chatted now became the three of them. Knowing

the living room. Mbok Rondo gave advice to his four daughters.

All the daughters of Mbok Rondo Dadapan just nodded their heads while putting

The Story of Rara Anteng

But the relationship did not last long. Rara Anteng as the eldest sister
secretly chose to go wander to the city because she heard rumors of a
matchmaking festival for the prince. Whoever fits the criteria and interests of the

with the young man's offer.

As agreed, Rara Anteng came to the young man's bar. Apparently there

3 Months Passed...

It's been about 3 months since Rara Anteng hasn't told his family. His
three sisters and his mother started to worry, they finally made a decision. Rara
Ayu and Rara Asih went to the capital to find news about Rara Ayu, while Rara
Sedep had to stay home to look after and care for their biological mother. With
minimal money and transportation, they finally arrived in the capital city safely.
After several hours of looking for cheap rent, they finally met the kind
grandmother. The rental fee for one month is enough with 5 pieces of silver and
at the same time the cost of eating and drinking is free. The grandmother also
offered them a job cleaning the rooms in the rented room in exchange for one
month's rent free of charge. After getting familiar with the locals, they finally
started to search for Rara Anteng.

By posting posters of Rara Anteng's photos throughout the city and

reporting it to the royal police, they did it to find Rara Anteng. Almost 3 months
of the search process but no satisfactory results. Finally, Rara Ayu, Rara Asih,
and the Royal Police stopped the search. However, after one day the search
process was stopped, they were visited by a grandfather who turned out to be an
eye witness to the perpetrators of the abuse and murder of Rara Anteng. After
collecting evidence and witnesses they immediately reported the case again. A
few hours later the bar owner and another young man were finally arrested. The
bar owner was sentenced to death and another young man was sentenced to 20
years in prison.

After knowing that Rara Anteng had passed away, their feelings became
erratic, between very sad and angry. Approximately 5 days to calm their hearts.
After their hearts calmed down they decided to return to their home which was
near the forest. With the money that had been collected from working at the good
grandmother's place and getting severance pay from the grandmother, they finally
went home by riding a horse cart, at a cost of 20 pieces of silver and a 2 hour
journey, they finally arrived at their house. They were greeted by Mbok Rondo
Dadapan and Rara Sedep and immediately went into the house to provide
information about Rara Anteng.

"How have you guys met Rara Anteng?" Ask Mbok Rondo.

"This is so, ma'am, this is the truth, ma'am..." Rara Ayu answered hesitantly.

"So what, if asked, answer. Rara Anteng, is my child okay?" Mbok Rondo asked
once again.

"Actually, Mbok, Rara Anteng is already dead, Mbok." Rara Asih explained.

"You are be joking, right?" Said Mbok Rondo while pleading.

"No Mbok, we're not joking, this is serious." Explain Rara Ayu.

After hearing the news that Rara Anteng had died, Mbok Rondo immediately
fainted on the spot. After half an hour of fainting, Mbok Rondo Dadapan finally
woke up. Then she and her three daughters burst into tears. It took 7 days for
Mbok Rondo to calm his heart. The tomb or final residence of Rara Anteng was
then moved to the Cemetery in the South of the Kingdom at the suggestion of
Mbok Rondo Dadapan which was originally behind the bar.

The Story of Rara Ayu

It's been 7 days and the heart of Mbok Rondo Dadapan's family is starting
to calm down. But the economy in the family began to run low, Rara Ayu as the
eldest brother decided to return to wander to meet their food needs. Arriving in
the capital, Rara Ayu immediately met her grandmother who previously offered
her a job. Then he applied to the grandmother for a job with a new agreement,
which was 50 silver for one month. Every month Rara Ayu has to send 35 silver
to her family. Because Rara Ayu is a thrifty person she always sets aside money
from her paycheck. As a result, his savings for approximately 1.5 years was able
to buy him a private house so that he no longer had to pay rent.

Rara Ayu's tenacity and hard work spread almost throughout the city. Not
only is she tenacious and diligent, she is also beautiful and charming. Because of
this, a handsome, dashing and rich young man is captivated by Rara Ayu.
Without thinking, a young man named Abhimanyu immediately proposed to him
to be his wife. Rara Ayu, who was 24 years old at the time, accepted the
proposal. After a month of preparation, they finally got married. Their wedding
was very grand and luxurious. Don't forget Rara Ayu invited Mbok Rondo and
her three sisters. The wedding went smoothly and orderly. Rara Ayu no longer
needs to work because her husband is rich. Their family life changed, their house
which was originally near the forest moved to the bustling capital city. Their
house is not an old house anymore but a terraced house belonging to Abhimanyu
that is not being used. Their lives changed in an instant.

The Story of Rara Sedep

One day in the city a cooking competition or festival is held, later the
winner will be made a cook in the kingdom. Hearing the news, Rara Sedep is
ready to show off her talent. A month before the festival takes place, Rara Sedep
spends his time doing cooking exercises aimed at determining the most delicious
dishes to be served at the festival. One month has passed and the cooking festival
has started and has been attended by 1.000 participants. Rara Sedep was
frustrated because of the large number of participants, but after seeing Prince
Arjuna her spirit began to reappear.

With careful preparation, Rara Sedep won the competition. He managed

to bring a prize of 1,000 gold pieces and became a cook in the kingdom. Because
the cuisine is very delicious, a feeling of love arises from the prince's younger
brother named Prince Angkasa. At first, Prince Angkasa was shy to express his
feelings to Rara Sedep. But after a long time in the kingdom, He tried to be brave.
Rara Sedep initially ignored the feelings of Prince Angkasa. There were some
funny events when the Prince was about to propose to Rara Sedep. One of them
is that he proposed wrongly, what he proposed was Rara Asih, who almost looks
like Rara Sedeep. Prince even had time to invite Rara Asih to go to his private
place. But Rara Asih refused and immediately showed her identity, the prince
immediately apologized to her.
 Days passed and the Prince had not been able to get Rara Sedeep's heart.
That morning the kingdom had guests from neighboring kingdoms, indeed, the
relationship between the two kingdoms had always been in a cooperative
relationship. Rara Sedep as the royal cook was told to make special dishes to
welcome them. Rara Sedep agreed to this on the condition that food ingredients
must be provided according to her food list. After the food ingredients arrived
and were checked, it turned out that something was missing, namely Matsutake
Mushrooms. These mushrooms can only be obtained from the forbidden forest.
No royal soldiers were able to walk through the forest because it was very
dangerous.

Three days passed, 1 hour before the neighboring kingdom arrived, Rara
Sedep panicked because of the lack of one ingredient, namely Matsutake
Mushroom. Half an hour later suddenly the Space Prince came with a wound and
dirty with Matsutake Mushrooms. Rara Sedep who was surprised because the
Prince of Space managed to bring the Mushroom from the forbidden forest. From
this incident, Rara Sedep became interested in the Prince. As a result, a special
banquet from Rara Anteng was successfully made, to the point that the King of a
neighboring kingdom praised the dish for being so delicious. The king then gave
an award to Rara Sedep as the greatest cook ever.

One week later, Prince Angkasa and Rara Sedep were officially engaged.
They plan to get married in 3 months. One day after getting engaged, Rara
Sedeep received news that her sister, Rara Ayu, was pregnant with a child and had
been in the womb for 3 months. In those 3 months Rara Sedep received special
treatment from both the Angkasa Prince Family and his royal party. But the
special treatment actually made him feel like he was in shackles because he had to
be supervised in whatever he did. Rara Sedep invited the Prince to discuss this
matter. After discussing, finally Rara Sedep is no longer like in shackles.

3 Months Passed...
 One day before their wedding, Rara Sedep had given the mandate as a
cook to his personal assistant who already had enough knowledge from him. The
royal family is very busy ahead of their wedding ceremony, the wedding
ceremony is planned to take place in the Holy Building of the Central Cathedral.
With a graceful dress and a charming suit, they finally officially became a couple.

because of the descendants of Rara Ayu and Abhimanyu who are famous for their

is very happy to hear the news.

The Story of Rara Asih

The royal police are currently in trouble because bandits blocking the road
in the forest border with the neighboring kingdom are rampant. 3 tons of rice and
2 tons of wheat that were about to be sent to the kingdom had to be lost and taken
forcibly by naughty bandits. At least 50ty royal troops had to die in escorting the
export of rice and wheat. It is estimated that the number of bandits reached 200
people led by former troops who had been sacked for betraying their leadership.
The government and the police sent as many as 500 personnel to arrest the bandits
living in the border forest.

the forest. The number of bandits who were able to be arrested was only 50
people, this was not comparable to the number of victims who died which reached

The bandit robbery incident happened again, this time Rara Asih and Mbok
Rondo when they planned to take their valuables from their old house. The
bandits held them captive and demanded a ransom of 5,000 gold pieces in less
than 3 days. Otherwise the bandits threaten to kill or abuse Rara Asih and Mbok
Rondo Dadapan.

Raden Mas Arjuna as the son of the king who actually loved him from the
first sight did not stay silent. He immediately sent 200 elite soldiers to help find
and return Rara Asih and her mother. The first attempt on that day failed due to a
thunderstorm that hit. The second attack was carried out the next day before the
sun rose, the goal was that the bandits were not ready for the attack. Raden Mas
Arjuna also sent the same troops. After clashing weapons and strategies, the
bandits were finally defeated. Rara Asih and Mbok Rondo Dadapan were released
clean and safe.

With the safety of Rara Asih then she was proposed by Prince Arjuna to be
his consort. Rara Asih, who had liked the Prince from the start, immediately
agreed. With the blessing of Mbok Rondo Dadapan as the mother, the marriage
can take place in less than 1 month. But Rara Asih wanted a simple marriage and
Prince Arjuna agreed. One month passed and the wedding started. The
accompaniment of classical music and strict escort is a sign of the start of the
marriage. All of Mbok Rondo Dadapan's family attended the party. The wedding
party was also attended by almost all the people in the city.

Resolution

The lives of the three of them with their respective husbands are peaceful
and harmonious, maybe the problem is just a small problem in the household. To
commemorate one year of the death of Rara Anteng, they all agreed to gather
together at his old house. Rara Ayu with Abhimanyu, Rara Sedep with Prince
Angkasa, and Rara Asih with Raden Mas Arjuna and Mbok Rondo did the No

their old house, they headed to the tomb of Rara Anteng which was in the south of
the kingdom or west of their old house. Once there, Mbok Rondo Dadapan

family.

to be better than before.
