Pattern Heartsnail (American Crochet Terms)

Finished stuffie measures approx. 3,9 inches long.

Materials:
– Size C (3mm) crochet hook
– Yarn in beige and colours you love
– Embroidery floss in black
– Poly-fil stuffing
– Tapestry needle

Abbreviations:
Ch = Chain
SS = Slip Stitch
SC = Single Crochet
Dec = Single Crochet Decrease
Inc = Single Crochet Increase
Rd. = Round
rep = repeat

Note: I worked in continuous rounds (vs. joined rounds).

Rd.1: Magic ring, make 6 SC in ring. (6SC)
Rd.2: SC 2 in each SC around(12 SC)
Rd.3-6: SC in each stitch around. (12 SC) (photo 2)
Fasten off .

Repeat Rd. 1-6. (photo 3)

Do not fasten off and go on directly:

Rd.7: Put the two pieces next to each other and put your hook through the first part you have crocheted
(photo 4). Crochet in each stitch. (24 SC) (photo 5)
Rd.8+9: SC in each stitch around. (24 SC) (photo 6 + 7)
Rd.10: *SC 2, Dec*, rep 6 times. (18 SC)
Rd.11+12: SC in each stitch around. (18 SC)
Rd.13: *SC, Dec*, rep 6 times. (12 SC)
Stuff with poly fil. (photo 8)
Rd.14+15: SC in each stitch around. (12 SC)
Rd.16: *Dec*, rep 6 times. (6 SC)
Rd.17: Dec, dec, leave remaining stitches. (4 SC) (photo 9)
Fasten off and leave a long (!) end for sewing (photo 10). Close the gap on the top (photo 11).

Your heart is now complete!

Body:
With beige.
Rd.1: Magic ring, make 6 SC in ring. (6 SC)
Rd.2+3: SC in each stitch around. (6 SC)
Rd.4: SC, Inc, SC, Inc, SC, Inc. (9 SC)
Rd.5: SC in each stitch around. (9 SC)
Rd.6: SC 2, Inc, SC 2, Inc, SC 2, Inc. (12 SC)
Rd.7-19: SC in each stitch around. (12 SC)
Rd.20: *SC 2, Dec*, rep 3 times. (9 SC)
Rd.21: SC in each stitch around. (9 SC)
Rd.22: *SC 1, Dec*, rep 3 times. (6 SC)
Fasten off and close gap. Leave long end for sewing to the heart (see photos 1 and 2).
Head:
With beige.
Rd.1: Magic ring, make 6 SC in ring. (6SC)
Rd.2: SC 2 in each SC around(12 SC)
Rd.3: *SC 1, Inc*, rep 6 times. (18 SC)
Rd.4: *SC 2, Inc*, rep 6 times. (24 SC)
Rd.5: *SC 3, Inc*, rep 6 times. (30 SC)
Rd.6: SC in each stitch around. (30 SC)
Rd.7: *SC 8, Dec*, rep 3 times. (27 SC)
Rd.8+9: SC in each stitch around. (27 SC)
Rd.10: *SC, Dec*, rep 9 times. (18 SC)
Rd.11: SC in each stitch around. (18 SC)
Rd.12: *SC, Dec*, rep 6 times. (12 SC)
Rd.13: SC in each stitch around. (12 SC)
Stuff with poly fil.
Rd.14: *Dec*, rep 6 times. (6 SC)
Rd.15: SC in each stitch around. (6 SC)
Push flat and work through both sides 3SC.
Fasten off and leave long end for sewing. Sew the head to the heart (see photos 3 and 4). Using black
embroidery floss, embroider eyes and mouth onto the face.

Tentacle (x2):
With beige.
Rd.1: Magic ring, make 6 SC in ring. (6 SC)
Rd.2: SC in each stitch around. (6 SC)
Rd.3: SC, Dec, SC, Dec. (4 SC)
Rd.4+5: SC in each stitch around. (4 SC)
Fasten off and leave a long end for sewing to the head.
