The three stages in history of Philosophy are the Cosmocentric, Theocentric and
Anthropocentric Age. The Cosmocentric is a belief that the natural state of our universe
should remain as it is, without human attempts to terraform planets for human habitation.
The Theocentric is the belief that God is the central aspect to our existence. Meaning and
value of actions done to people or the environment are attributed to God like humility,
respect, moderations, selflessness, and mindfulness. The Anthropocentric is the belief that
humans are the most important beings in the world. It interprets and regards the world in
terms of values and experiences.

The Cosmocentric era eventually evolved to Theocentric age and later to

Anthropocentric period. These three chapters of history of philosophy had complements
and overlapping of views. Based on theological interpretation, God created the heaven and
the earth including the universe which the Cosmocentric worldview is concern of. With
this, it is clear that the two periods were complementing. As to Anthropocentric and
Theocentric, both views were also supplementing. Example for this is when God created
human being in His own image. This simply means that God is omnipotent and had divine
power in which the Theocentric era focused on. Side by side with this was the creation of
human being which the Anthropocentric era engrossed.
