A DVISORY H OUSES
History was made in late March when students selected the Elements:
Water, Earth, Fire, and Wind as the new house theme for our school-wide
advisory program. Students worked in smaller committees with a goal of
continuing to establish the identity and community within their houses. Ms.
Reyes and the Head of House staff representatives, Mr. Javier, Mr. Hansan,
Mrs. Leingang, and Mr. Routhier, have been working together to gain staff
and student input as we build our advisory program. Each week students
focus on four areas: academic success, college readiness, career exploration,

S PIRIT W EEK
Spirit Week is a time for students and staff to use creative ways to display
their school spirit. It is also a time to build traditions and have fun! Spirit
week runs from Monday, April 11 and ends Friday, April 15. Classes will
run as scheduled and without interruption.
Students and staff will participate in a different “dress-up” activity each day of
Spirit Week. Students and staff earn points for their House by dressing up
for each day’s theme. The more creative the outfit, the more points students
can earn.
Spirit Week culminates on Field Day on Friday, April 15. It is a day of
friendly competition among the four Houses. The House with most points at
the end of the week earns a handsome reward. Students and teachers get into
