Weekly Vocabulary Schedule

Keep this in your notebook!

Friday/Monday
Words are given
You will copy down the words, word parts, parts of speech and definition
for each week’s vocabulary unit on your worksheet/notecards. Must be
kept in your spiral notebook!

Tuesday
Work time

Each worksheet/notecard will have the word or word part, symbol,


synonym and antonym, the part of speech, definition, and an original
sentence (written in your spiral notebook). Your initials should be on the
corner of each notecard just in case they go missing. See back for
example.

Wednesday
Worksheet/Notecards- DUE
Vocabulary Practice Assigned

Each Wednesday you will receive a vocabulary study that will allow you a
chance to work with this week’s words and to practice for our test. This
vocabulary study will be due and graded in class on Thursday- be sure to
have it done!

Thursday
Study for Test
Vocabulary Story
The vocabulary test will be tomorrow in class. Be sure to study
vocabulary words and word parts, spelling, definition and graded
vocabulary study. Use your notecards/worksheet to quiz yourself or a
buddy!

Friday
Vocabulary Test
Vocabulary test consists of spelling, matching, context clues,
synonyms/antonyms, and multiple choice. Please be familiar with all
words/word parts.

**If you are absent on Friday, you are expected to make the test up on
Monday or take a zero for the grade.
