Intended Learning Outcomes
At the end of the session, the students should:
1. Understand the course requirements, grading system, and
classroom rules;
2. Recognize the T.I.P. graduate attributes;
3. Be familiar with the T.I.P. Hymn and T.I.P. March;
4. Appreciate the importance of 5S Housekeeping and
Sanitation Program;
5. Be aware of the TIP Rules and regulations on student
discipline, available scholarships, and other student services;
and
6. Explain the objectives, components, and scope of NSTP
Grading System
The grades will be computed using the following formula:
1. Prelim Grade (PG)
PG = PCS (0.5) + PE (0.5)
PCS = Prelim Class Standing
PE = Prelim Exam
2. Midterm Grade (MG)
MG = {MCS (0.5) + ME (0.5)}2/3 + 1/3(PG)
MCS = Midterm Class Standing
ME = Midterm Exam
3. Final Grade (FG)
FG = {FCS (0.5) + FE (0.5)}2/3 + 1/3(MG)
FCS = Final Class standing
FE = Final Exam

WHAT DOES 5S MEAN?

5S is a workplace organization method that uses a list of five Japanese words: seiri,
seiton, seisō, seiketsu, and shitsuke. The list describes how to organize a work space
for efficiency and effectiveness by identifying and storing the items used, maintaining
the area and items, and sustaining the new order.
The decision-making process usually comes from a dialogue about standardization,
which builds understanding among employees of how they should do the work
5S is a structured program to systematically achieve total organization,
cleanliness and standardization in the workplace.
I. 5S METHODOLOGY
SEIRI SORT SURIIN

 Defined as the sorting out of


necessary equipment or material in
required and non required items.
 Seiri is the identification of the best
physical organization of the
workplace.
 Take out unnecessary items and
throw them away
 (Suriin ang mga hindi kailangang
bagay at itapon)
SEITON SYSTEMATIZE SINUPIN
 It means setting ever thing in proper
order for easy retrieval.
 It involves setting in order what is found
in Seiri, Straighten and Standardization
of it.
 Organize and arrange necessary items
for ease of use
 (Sinupin ang mga kailangang bagay
upang madaling magamit)
SEISO SWEEP SIMUTIN

 It means "to make everything shiny clean".


 Clean your place of work everyday
 (Simutin at araw araw na labanan ang dumi)
SEIKETSU SANITIZE SIGURADUHIN ANG
KALINISAN

 It means "standardized cleanup".


 Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and
workplace organization at all times
 (Siguraduhin ang patuloy na pananatili ng kalinisan
at kaayusan)
SHITSUKE SELF DISCIPLINE SARILING
KUSA

 It is about self-discipline to maintain or sustain the


changes (improvements).
 Do things spontaneously without being told to do so
 (Akuin ang pananagutan sa pagpapanatili ng
kalinisan at kaayusan)

WHAT IS NSTP?

NSTP refers to the program aimed at enhancing civic


consciousness and defense preparedness in the youth,
by developing the ethics of service and patriotism while
undergoing training in any of the three (3) program
components, specifically designed to enhance the
youth’s active contribution to the general welfare.

OBJECTIVES OF NTSP
The primary objective of the NSTP law is to promote the
role of the youth in nation-building. As such, it aims to
encourage the youth to become civic and/or military
leaders and volunteers whom could be called upon by the
nation in cases their services are needed.
THREE COMPONENTS OF NSTP
1. Civic Welfare Training Service (CWTS)
2. Military Training Service (MTS) or the Reserve
Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC)
3. Literacy Training Service (LTS)
CIVIC WELFARE TRAINING SERVICE
Refers to activities contributory to the general welfare and
the betterment of life for the members of the community or
the enhancement of its facilities.

CWTS VISION
To produce valuable and effective members of the
National Service Corps who may serve as leaders and
intermediaries in securing a quality life, maintaining
peace, harmony and growth to Filipino communities.

CWTS MISSION
• Strengthening the values and traits of the youth
• Improving the students’ skills and knowledge on various
endeavors
• Developing the students’ interest in community service

CWTS OBJECTIVES
• Develop and promote civic consciousness, enhance the
intellectual, physical, moral, spiritual and social being of
the youth.

• Inculcate among the youth the ideals of patriotism and


nationalism, and advance their involvement in public and
civic affairs.

• Instill moral values among the youth, inculcate respect


for the rights of civilians and adherence to the
constitution.
