EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Financial statements provide summarized view of the financial position and upcoming operation
of the company. Therefore, it is necessary that the company’s financial statements show a sound
position to their stakeholders.

This project titled “Financial performance and analysis of ING VYSYA BANK” is an
attempt to understand the financial services and performance. The objective of financial services
firm is to help the client to minimize the risk involved in financial aspect and maximize the
return.

The data collected from the bank itself through its financial statements and from the bank
employees. The secondary data collected from the financial reports of the company, which
includes the balance sheet and profit & loss account of the company. All the primary data
collected from the officials and from the bank employees by means of personal interview.

The financial performance analysis is the process of identifying the financial strengths
and weaknesses of the firm by properly establishing relationships between the items of the
balance sheet and profit & loss Account. The objectives of financial performance analysis is the
pin-pointing the strengths and weaknesses of a business undertaking by regrouping and analysis
of figures obtained from the Financial statements and Balance Sheet by the tools and techniques
of management accounting.
