a. Construct a frequency distribution table.

b. Calculate for:
1. Mean ∑X/N
= (x, +x ₂+x₃+... +xⁿ/N
= (10+12+12+...+83)/40
=1,590/40
=39.75 or 40
2. P75

64-69- Solve this problem using Polya’s four-step problem solving strategy.

a. Anne has a certain amount of money in her bank account on Friday morning.
During the day she wrote a check for 24.50 pesos. Made an ATM withdrawal of
80.00 and deposited a check for 235.00. At the end of the day, she saw that her
balance was 451.25. How much money did she have in the bank at the beginning
of the day?
1.So we need to find the money in Anne’s Bank account at the beginning of the day on
Friday
2. During the day she wrote a check for 24.50 and 80 and put in 235
So, she ended put in 451.25 at the end of the day
3.so we need to start with the result and apply the operation in reverse we start with an
unknown, do some operation and the end up with a known amount.
4.So we start to 451.25 then subtract 235 add 80 and then add 24.50
451.25-235+80+24.50=320.75
So, Anne had 320.75 in her account at the beginning of the day on Friday.

70.75- Solve each of the following completely. Show your solution. (3 points each)

a. A business takes out a simple interest loan of Php. 10,000 at a rate of 7.5 %.
What is the total amount the business will repay if the loan is for 8 years?
.t= 8
R= 0.075
P= 10,000
Using the interest formula
A= P(1+rt)
= 10,000 (1+0.075(8))
= 70,000
So, the business man will pay back total of 70,000
