ABSTRACT

This report presents my work at FPT Telecom, which works as a sales officer at
the Company from February 22, 2021 to April 4, 2021

This report generally describes my duties at FPT Telecom Joint Stock Company. I
used to work as a Sale Officer at this company from February 22, 2021 to April 4,
2021.

Minh City is currently one of the leading Internet and Telecom service providers
in the region. Currently, households, companies and businesses all have the need
to use the Internet. Currently, the Internet becomes one of the most
indispensable parts of our demand. First of all, the Internet is considered as a
wealth of information resources. Secondly, the Internet provides a tool for
human-to-person communication. The Internet provides platforms and softwares
that help us approach and communicate with each other quickly and conveniently
(Khú c này tao có thêm ý cho mà y).Thirdly, enterprises can find out the market
demand through the Internet and expand the production of suitable products.
Fortunately, (may mắ n?)Có thể xạ o lol xíu vô đâ y. After searching for an intern
position via Facebook or Linkedin, I finally challenged myself to apply for the
sales intern positions at FPT Telecom. During the term, the amount of knowledge
about consulting and customer care skills helped me become a real sales staff.
Furthermore, I also gained a lot of skills to experience and expand many new
relationships with the colleagues in the company, the siblings instructed and
helped me understand more about the company's products.

While working at FPT Telecom, I have drawn many valuable experiences through
observing and participating in the company's business activities such as

approaching or persuading customers…. Since then, I have grown, been more


active and confident in communication. More than that, I have equipped myself
with the necessary skills and experience for my future work. Sử a xíu nè:

The opportunity to practice at FPT Telecom is a great opportunity for me to learn
from experience and improve my expertise. During a 6-week internship as
planned by Thu Duc Technology College (from February 22, 2021 to April 4,
2021) at FPT Telecom Joint Stock Company - Ho Chi Minh City Branch, I have
been learning and improving the necessary skills, applying basic knowledge to
sales staff. So, first of all, I would like to express heartfelt thanks to the Board of
Management of Thu Duc Technology College for dedicated teaching and
equipping me with knowledge and experience throughout the learning process at
school. In particular, I would like to send my sincere thanks to Ms. Pham Thi Kim
Hoa, thank you for all your enthusiasm and dedication in supporting relevant

Simultaneously, I would like to thank all of my coworkers working at FPT


Telecom, especially the Sales Manager - Ho Phuoc Anh Hung for enthusiastically

experience living and working so that today I have a complete internship report.

FPT Telecom Joint Stock Company (hereinafter referred to as FPT Telecom) is


currently one of the leading Internet and Telecom service providers in the region.
The company was established on January 31, 1997, originated from the Online
Service Center founded by 4 members and the first Internet product of Vietnam
called "Vietnam Intellectual - TTVN", the product is considered as laying the
foundation for the development of the Internet in Vietnam.

In addition, the company has been making its mark on the international arena
with 12 branches spread across Cambodia and 1 branch in Myanmar.

● Internship process:

Before being exposed to this job, I personally felt this was a difficult and
challenging job. But when I have the opportunity to work in the
professional environment of FPT, along with the enthusiastic guidance of
colleagues, I have a new perspective on the industry. During the
internship, I felt that sales was an interesting, dynamic job, and helped
me improve my communication skills. As a salesman I have direct contact
with customers; consulting to help customers choose the right products
and services; answer questions about products and services; convincing
customers to buy products helps increase sales for the company. In the
end, I received internship reviews from the Sales Manager.

Step 1: Prospect

Employees plan on finding potential customers through advertising channels and


set their own goals

Step 2: Approach

In the activity, the employee will set targets for themselves of potential
customers. Maybe spontaneous customers on social networks, web advertising,
maybe familiar customers already available

Step 3: Interview

This step requires each employee's sales experience. Employees must be smart in
approaching customers, when approaching customers, employees must dress
politely and speak politely, always consider the customer as a god

Step 4: Proposal

Employees must equip themselves with complete knowledge of the company's


products and services, and understand each product to introduce and analyze
with customers. The duty of the employee is to know what kind of product the
customer is in need of the product and then advise the customer

Step 5: Demonstration

Employees will rely on the service's products. Companies to reach customers they
consider potential. Saleswomen need to give out preferential policies of the
company such as price, post-purchase incentives so that customers feel secure
about the company's products.

Step 6: Negotiate

After both sides have agreed on the price, the staff will come to sign the contract

Step 7: Support

Staff plans to visit loyal or Vip customers. Coordinate with the marketing
department to implement advertising and promotion plans. Giving gifts to guests
on holidays and Tet. Building communication channels for customers to access
and update product information, services and promotions.

1.1.2. Internship tasks


I have been interning at FPT for 6 weeks, during these 6 weeks I
have learned some soft skills such as how to listen to customers,
grasp customer psychology, communicate and negotiate better and
have to always smile in any case
About the company, I have learned the strict regulations, how to
dress, communicate, and behave when working with colleagues.
Working time:
⮚ Monday, Wednesday, Friday : from 8:00 to 17:30

Every day, I go to the company at 8:00 am to check-in and prepare publications to


go to the market, this creates self-discipline for me

My daily work plan:

Planning for the job has helped me to define the tasks, arrange daily and weekly
tasks in a reasonable way so that everything is done fully, effectively, and with
quality.
Planning has many benefits: saving time, getting the job done more thoughtfully,
meticulously, and efficiently.
Moreover, when working at the company, I have improved my soft skills and
ability to communicate with people.
When I approached the business, I felt that the industry required more soft skills
than hard skills. So the skills and experience of the staff are very important.
Therefore, when you want to become a good salesman, you should first learn and
train yourself with necessary skills such as:
● Good listening and communication skills.
● Customer care skills
● Listen and act
● Progressive attitude, willingness to learn
● Confidence 
1.2. Task response analysis
After 6 weeks, I have been working at the company as a saleswoman, not as an
intern. A completely new and strange job but not completely difficult for me, after
only 2 weeks I was able to adapt to this new job and working environment. One
advantage for me is that this job is suitable and right for my hobby. On the other
hand, a huge disadvantage is that the business I am doing at work is not in my
field of expertise. However, after the internship, I learned a practical amount of
knowledge useful for my future business. In addition, when my internship at the
company, I have built many close relationships with my colleagues, brothers and
sisters, enthusiastically helped, imparted experiences and supported a lot. In fact,
to become a salesman, not only have knowledge but also have soft skills such as
communication skills, problem-solving, public confidence.

The following SWOT analysis highlights the company strengths and


weaknesses:

● Strength:
- FPT has a long history of operating in the fields of
Telecommunications and the Internet leading
- The company always develops new software and technology to
life
- The operator has a long reputation, good infrastructure,
extremely wide coverage
- Professional staff, experienced and professional in the industry
- The working rooms are fully equipped including computers, air-
conditioners, water purifiers ...
- Product and service quality is good, a transmission line is stable
with reasonable prices
- Dedicated care service, always giving customers the best
experience, fast troubleshooting
● Weakness:
- Not meeting customers in rural and remote areas
- The departments are not large enough
- The parking lot is small
● Opportunity:
- Located near the city center, easy to attract households and
businesses
- Get the trust of many customers who have been using the service
and are actively promoted through old customers
● Challenge:
- Facing competition from rival companies in particular and
challenges of the telecommunications industry in general
- Always create brand value to attract and retain customers

CHAPTER 2: INTERNSHIP SELF- EVALUATION AND


REFLECTION

2.1. Reflecting on task management

Advantages and disadvantages when I have an internship at FPT Telecom

⮚ Advantages:

- Receive enthusiastic help and guidance from colleagues

- Improve sales skills, ability to communicate, persuade and


handle, reject

- Listen to customer complaints

- Train the ability to deal with superiors and colleagues in the


working environment

- To be guided in detail each step of the working process

- Train the most professional manners in the business


environment

- Receive support and provide necessary information to complete


the internship report

⮚ Disadvantages:

- Major is business English, so when working at the Company, I do


not use much English, so my listening and speaking skills have not
been improved.

- Due to the foreign language major, economic knowledge is not


wide enough

After an internship at the company, I have a broader view of my work. I have


learned how to work more professionally, confidently face new challenges. With
inherent agility, I have quickly learned the suggestions from you and my sister
and improved myself better from that. I have applied the communication skills I
learned at school to my work. All the work that the company assigns me is
carefully prepared, after 2 weeks of practice, I have grasped all information,
knowledge about the product and how to lead customers to access our products.
My main job is looking for potential clients and signing contracts.

Firstly, I plan to develop sales, run advertising campaigns.

Second, consulting products and services such as the Internet, Camera for
customers who need to use, and always focus on listening to all that customers
are saying, in this way how customers feel interested in themselves to respect
and are able to openly share. From here, I can analyze problems, capture
psychology and give a quick response.

Third, after negotiating with customers, I directly sign the contract using the
Mobisale system and report the time that the construction technician will be done
to the customer, then collect the money and return it to the company. Things you
need to prepare before starting work are as follows:

- Search for potential customers
- Mastering product information to advise customers
- Consulting, understanding customer needs

At first, everything was new to me, but gradually I got used to my work. In my
opinion, the work here is really good. The process of finding customers, helping
customers to access more of the company's products. Sign contracts with
customers quickly, neatly. Good customer service under the motto "customer is
god". Therefore, with this professional work, FPT Telecom has brought more and
more customers to trust and cooperate.

2.2. Reflecting on staff relationship

During the 6 weeks internship at the company, I have improved my


communication skills, teamwork skills and better problem-solving skills. Thanks
to communication skills and teamwork, staff members understand and
understand each other better. Moreover, teamwork skills help us solve problems
at work faster instead of just one person. Besides, I also train myself to be
responsible for the work, because when working in a group, if I do not complete
the assigned tasks, I am affecting the whole team. On the other hand, another skill
that I think is really important to me when working as a group is respect and
listen to the members' opinions. Last but not least, thanks to my confidence, I can
present my ideas and understandings, share the knowledge I have learned to
come together to come up with the most suitable method to solve problems and
when I make mistakes, I always carefully acknowledge and listen. Stemming from
sincerity, combined with careful preparation, observability, subtlety, and
ingenuity in communication are the recipe for a successful start. Here are 7
valuable skills that will help me to have more advantages in the future:

- Always on time

In addition, I always observe people closely to find out something good to learn.
Moreover, thanks to the love and enthusiastic help from staff, I have accumulated
more knowledge and experience in the industry. I already know how to find potential
customers, advise customers, make contracts and take care of my customers. The staff
in the company all work hard so I have to try the same. I feel that I create a lot of
sympathy towards everyone in the company, which will help me have a friendly,
sociable working environment without being stuffy. In particular, it helps me practice
some soft skills to better support me in the future.

2.3. Reflecting on the regulations of the enterprise


2.3.1. Regulations on working, studying, resting, and labor safety
rules
When I was an intern at the company, I had a discipline for myself that I never
had when I went to school. The company includes time, dress' codes, manners,
and morality. First, going to work on time is the most important rule, everyone
must follow the working hours that the company has set out. All employees
must check in at 8:00 am on Foxpro's system. Next, all employees are equipped
with publications (stickers, whip sheets, banners, ...) to go to the market more
favourable for finding potential customers. In addition, each employee prepares
his own computer to support the web to advertise the company's products and
services to customers. Regarding uniforms, on Monday 100% of employees
wear company uniforms, the rest of the days, employees wear free clothes but
must be neat and polite such as shoes, shirts, skirts or trousers. For taking leave,
all employees must apply for leave 1 day in advance for approval by their
supervisor, the employee creates a leave application on the Foxpro system that
the company has provided. From the regulations of the company, I have learned
the professional manners of an employee. Besides, I trained myself to manage
time and discipline at work.

2.3.2. Regulations on fire prevention and fighting, hygiene, and


environment
Fire protection is an important and urgent issue. Employees are strictly
forbidden to bring flammable objects into the company, do not smoke in the
office. Therefore, my office is equipped with fire protection and a fire escape
system because the company is always concerned about the safety of the
company. For the hygiene and environment, the company equips the trash can
of each office to avoid the case of employees disposing of trash at the wrong
place. Before work, employees must clean their desks, turn off electrical and
water equipment. Compliance with company regulations is essential for
employees working at FPT. It creates the discipline of each employee.

2.4. Reflecting on the relationship of theory and practice

During the 6 weeks of internship at the company, I have accumulated a lot of


work experience. when I work at the Company. What I see the difference when
working at the Company and when studying at School is the time, having to come
to the company on time even if there is a 1p delay is still late and will be warned.
This shows seriousness and professionalism in the workplace

When I was practising, I was able to run KPI. In order to run enough KPIs, I made
a detailed plan to find potential customers (go to the market, advertise through
online channels, company date ...). During the weeks of practice and study, I
learned the following:

• Achievements

Although my internship at FPT Telecom was not much, it left me with a lot
of valuable knowledge and experience. Get the wholehearted help of the
staff in the company and their own efforts. Therefore, the practice process
also gained the following points:

- Understand and learn teamwork experiences to improve work


efficiency

- Satisfy and strictly comply with assigned requirements

- Strictly obey the rules of the internship unit

- Reinforcing professional theoretical as well as a practical basis


after an internship at the company

- Create agility, more proactive at work for me

Due to the short internship time, sometimes the necessary knowledge


years outside the specialized field have been learned, so it does not meet
100% of the company's requirements

• Lessons learned for me

During my internship, I have equipped myself with soft skills such as


communication skills, teamwork skills, skills in handling situations…. The
comparison between theory and reality helps me to reinforce my own
knowledge, create more development opportunities for future work after
graduation. Through my practice time, I have drawn out the following
experiences for myself

All the things that have been learned above not only give me an opportunity to
develop in the future or simply an opportunity to learn in a good environment but
also an opportunity for me to fulfil my potential and help me grow up.

timely and complete manner.

CONCLUSION

“Graduation internship” briefly describes FPT Telecom, the level of knowledge of


the assigned tasks in the Sales department and general comments during the
internship of individual students.

During the internship, I always actively learn, absorb work quickly, build
relationships with colleagues, and adapt well to the company culture. However,
due to lack of work experience and lack of practical contact, sometimes I
misinterpret the assigned job and have difficulty in handling unexpected
customer feedback situations.

During the internship and completion of the report, in addition to being able to
apply what I learned at school, I also learned new business knowledge. Through
this internship course, I have learned and improved my ability to observe,
identify, research, and analyze to come up with solutions to solve problems.

But I believe that after finishing the 6-week internship at the company. I have
improved a lot compared to before and I would like to express the special and
wholeheartedly Mr. Ho Phuoc Anh Hung, who helped me better I improved a lot
of soft skills, especially giving me the opportunity to work in such a professional
environment.
