I. Description:
TOURISTA is the newest Interest-Based Organization under the Council of Student
Organizations of La Salle University. The organization is proposing an activity that is
technically called “Exploriana: A Three-Minute Travel Guide (open for all Lasallians),
which is basically a 3-minute-long video blog that features the participant's desired
tourist attraction. This activity ensured to follow health protocols to avoid getting
infected with the COVID19 Virus, and failing to follow is subject to immediate
disqualification. Specifically, the activity should be just a sit-down vlog featuring all the
sceneries and attractions that the participants’ desired, however to avoid bland and boring
discursion within the video, the participants should initiate to add details to the video
blog by inputting pictures, and clips of the Tourist Attraction in order to spice up and add
flavor to the piece. All things considered, this activity is a showcase of beautiful sceneries
and attractions in various places, featuring the beauty of Travel, Hospitality, and Tourism
Industry.
II. Objectives

1. To build solidarity, synergy and camaraderie among the students through various
online activities that will fuel their interest, anticipation and establish goodwill to their
organizations;
2. To provide an entertaining travel guide for tourists in the future that need it which
will serve as a virtual assistant in tour guiding;
3. To showcase the creativity of Lasallians in the field of video blogging and
entertainment;
4. To give Lasallians a field to practice and flaunt their skills in communication
verbal and non-verbal;
5. To develop fellowship and leadership through active participation and
cooperation in the different activities that enhance their ability in relation to their talents
and skills;
6. To train the leaders of every student organization in conducting and organizing
events;
7. To develop a greater sense of community dedication in the midst of pandemic just
like the mission of our founder, St. John Baptist De La Salle.
