VIII. COURSE DESCRIPTION:


This course deals with two categories of Electrical Machines commonly used in industry. The DC machines cover the principles of
construction, characteristics, repair and maintenance of the different types of DC motors and generators. For AC machines cover the principles
of operation, construction, characteristics, repair and maintenance of single phase and poly phase motors and transformers. In view of the
expected hazards involved in the actual job practice the essence of safety and accident prevention is systematically taught.
