V. Course No & Title: Comp 101-INTRODUCTION TO COMPUTER EDUCATION


Pre-requisite- None

V. School Year / Semester Offered: 1st Sem. 2020-2021

VI. Course Description: This course is an introductory step to the world of computer that aims to develop understanding skills on
the importance of information technology. It discusses the moral aspects associated with the use of
computers. It also equips students with sufficient knowledge and skills in computer software application
used in day to day basis in the workplace such as word processing, presentation and the internet which is
useful for future career. This is a lecture with laboratory course.

VII. Course Credit / Unit : 3 units (2 hours lecture and 3 hours laboratory per week)

At the end of the semester, the students must have:

LO1: acquired knowledge about basic concepts in computer.

LO2: gained and applied basic knowledge and skills in operating personal computer
