Case of Baby Ana:

You are the student nurse on duty at the Nursery Room. You were assigned to assist in the delivery of Baby Ana. Based on your interview with
Ana’s mother, you noted that Ana’s mother is G1P0. You also noted that Ana’s mother is quite thin despite of her being pregnant. Upon birth,
Baby Ana cried spontaneously. There is no meconium stain. The APGAR score is 8 and 9; however, Ana’s birthweight is 2.1 kg. The other
anthropometric measurements are within normal limits and her vital signs are also normal. Her Ballard Score is 37-38 weeks AOG.

Ana’s mother is 20 y/o, high school graduate. Ana’s mother prefers Tagalog as a medium of instruction. She also verbalized that she remembers
the information better with pictures. She has a low attention span and gets confused with plenty of information. She stays with her 19 y/o live-in
partner who is a utility worker.
