Name: Boren Fellowship


Description: Awards up to $30,000 over 24 months to U.S. graduate students in support of study
and research in the following areas of the world: Africa, Asia, Central and Eastern Europe,
Eurasia, Latin America and the Middle East
Requirements: Must be a U.S. graduate student with studies centering on a predefined focus
country

Name: Care, Visiting Fellows Program


Description: Provides the opportunity to work in CARE Country Offices with projects implemented
in those areas, including Emergency Management, HIV/AIDS, Economic Development, and

Name: Catholic Relief Services, International Development Fellows Program (IDFP)


Description: CRS has approximately 20 placements in various country programs. Assignments are
for 1 year.
Requirements: Graduate degree in related field -or- Bachelors degree with 5+ years experience in
the field

Name: Congressional Hunger Center, Bill Emerson National Hunger Fellowship


Description: 20 participants are selected for this 11 month program, half of which is carried out
with organizations based in urban settings, and half with organizations based in rural
Requirements: Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident with a Bachelors degree

Description: This is a two year program with a one year field placement in Asia, Africa or Latin
America

Name: El Pomar Foundation Fellowship
Description: Starting annual salary is $28,000 and the fellowship lasts 2 years
Requirements: Must be graduates of a four year degree program and have ability to travel

Name: The Global Health Corps Fellowship Program


Description: GHC works with a number of organizations to identify gaps or needs within an
organization. GHC then works to create fellow pairs, one fellow from the U.S. and one fellow
from the country in which the organization is based, which are specifically suited to address
such needs.
Requirements: Must be U.S. citizens or citizens of the country in which the partner organization is
based.

Name: Human Rights Watch, Alan R. and Barbara D. Finberg Fellowship


Description: Fellows are expected to work for one year in their offices in New York, Washington
D.C., or London. Fellows, “monitor human rights developments, conduct on-site
investigations, draft reports on human rights conditions, and engage in advocacy aimed at
publicizing and curtailing human rights violations.”
Requirements: Must be a recent graduate holding a Masters Degree in appropriate field

Description: The program operates three fellowship sessions per year out of their Washington D.C.
offices. Fellowships are designed to provide formal training in the anti-trafficking

Name: Unite for Sight, Young Leader of Social Change Fellow


Description: Fellows work out of their offices in New Haven, CT and work in one of five of the
following programs: International Eye Care Programs and Global Impact Corps, Chapters
and Community Fellows Program, GH/Innovate 2010 - Global Health & Innovation
Conference, and Global Health University
Requirements: Must have a Bachelors degree and be able to commit to at least one year of service
