1、 Products general description

SHA type double girder electric wire rope hoist is widely used in diverse field, such as: factory, yard, dock, power plant,
construction place for lifting. It is designed for double girder overhead crane.
Working condition
1) basic working group M4, if used in other group, should according to the converting requirement in standard
GB3822(or ISO4301)
2) atmosphere temperature -2 5 ° C ~+40 ° C 。
3) relative humidity: ≦ 85% 。
4) altitude ≦ 1000m 。
5) Loading people or toxic, inflammable or explosive goods is not allowed
Products are not suitable to work in open position
6) Standard current supply: 3ph,380V,50hz.
2、 Introduction of product structure
SHA double girder type electric wire rope hoist is assembled with main lifting parts, trolley frame, suspension device of
pulley, rope fix device, drive wheel, driven wheel device, hook assemble, electric control box, travelling limiter, buffer
device etc. Rope reeving is one rope into four in common. See pic1:

Main lifting parts is assembled with motor、reducer、drum、drum cover、 rope guider、 wire rope 、rope fix device 、
bearing bracket and cam limiter, please see pic 3

Lifting motor and lifting reduce of SHA type double girder electric wire rope hoist are connected as a set, we use 212 pole
and duplex winding column motor with flat surface brake, reducer adopts third class fixed shaft involute column spiral
gear drive. Brake way of Lifting motor is power lost brake, it is on the state of brake when hoist is supplied with power,
vise visa. The power which supplied to brake device is DC, which derive from AC of motor winding. In order to
avoid lag caused by brake, AC, DC from both end of convertor must be cut off at the same time, design of motor of
SHA double girder type electric wire rope hoist is took cutting AC supply parts into consideration, and also is the DC
supply in electric. The brake force can be changed by adjusting the gap of brake friction disk which is already adjusted
before out, but after using the hoist after some time, when downwards slippage of brake exceed V/100 (V stands for
lifting distance in 1 minute in rated working situation), it shall be adjusted and keep the gap even，usually the gap is
0.3~0.5mm. Lifting motor is double speed with two winding, ensure the fast winding and slow winding energized not
on the same time, furthermore, when one winding is on-position, keep the other winding’s three lines on open-circuit
position. Before reducer start to work, please make sure lubricating as per regulation.

Wire rope of SHA double girder electric wire rope hoist adopts Italy LTI high tensile steel wire rope ， changing or
replacing of it must fit the item 2 in manual four.
2 、Hook assembly
Hook assembly of SHA double girder type, pls see as pic4, there is rubber protective sheath on the cable outlet
which prevents wire rope from rubbing with pulley cover, the safety latch fixed on the hook makes sure the
free swivel of 360, bearing in hook must be lubricated often.

Travelling reducer and motor of SHA double girder type electric wire rope hoist SHA are a unit set, travelling motor is
6pole single winding column brake motor with flat surface—can fitted with frequency converter which can change
travelling speed, reducer adopts third class fixed shaft involute column spiral gear drive. Brake way of Lifting motor is

6 cam limit switch
cam limit switch is connected to the tail shaft of the drum. Universal joint can pass the information about angle has

rotated to the reducer parts of cam limit switch which united by first order worm gear drive and second order tooth
gear drive, at last, memory cam rotates, then cam limit switch is excited. The position of memory cam shall be
adjusted through adjusting bolt according to the lifting height. There’re two memory cam, one is lifting limit cam, the
other is decreasing limit. When adjusting, shall first loose fixing bolt, after finishing, should tight fixing bolt again.
The height must be in accordance with Hmin and H in pic 4~, and test it at least 3 times.

Electric control box of SHA double girder type is completed with phase-sequence relay preventing phase fault and short
phase. It also has over currency protection to avoid motor over load. Besides, there’re no-voltage protection to avoid
interlocking and short-circuit. Principle of electric pls see in pic 11:

3、Installation
1 ）The installation of electric hoist must be conducted by professionals
2 ）Please carefully read this operation instruction and operate exactly as it is instructed.

3 ）Before installation, should carefully check if there’s damage or loss of spare parts during transportation.
4 ） In order to make hoist work perfectly, it needs to make sure that the rail for trolley must be flat, no torsion and
obvious curve in part. And the real tolerance of distance between two rails shouldn’t be above or below 1 mm, and
tolerance of line of rail shouldn’t be above or below 1mm, and difference of the height of rail can be over 3M, and
tolerance should in 0.5mm. Inclination of the total length of the rail can be over L/20. All these things should be
adjusted before goods delivered out, and before assembling the trolley to rail, make sure the width between wheel is
complied with width of rail. Observe whether all the thing is right after assemble. When there’s on load, thread face of
drive wheel should contact with thread face of rail, gap between thread face of driven wheel and rail shouldn’t be over
0.3mm, when loading, thread face should contact with the face of rail.
5) There already exist two travelling limit switch in double girder hoist, and user can fix steel buffer limit at certain place
according to the real using condition. At the both end of rail, there should be crush steel to avoid derailing.
6) Overhaul check should be done after assembling, content of check, pls see as below:
a Whether hoist is correctly fixed.(contrast with this instruction ).
b Check the joint part of the hoist and parts bear pressure is stable. And check whether the wire rope clamp is fixed
correctly.
c Check whether the wire is correct.
d Common voltage of electric hoist is 380V-50HZ-3PH, maximum pressure drop shouldn’t be over 10% of rated voltage.
e If limiter is correctly adjusted.
f All the parts ruled to be lubricated should be supplied with sufficient grease or lubricate oil.
g Whether the trolley well contact with rail.
7 ）the power of the electric hoist can be supplied by cable or flat cable, the transmission distance of cable or flat cable
shall accord with the table below or electric standard. The aim is to avoid pressure drop.

Remark：Avoid any joint of a single cable

8 ）The bearing wire rope of control pendant should be adjusted during operation, make sure the load of control pendant is
born by bearing wire rope, keep the cable of pendant relaxed.
4、Maintenance and operation.
1 、operation
1 ）When the hoist is newly assembled or checked and repaired after overhaul inspection, it should be tested without load
for several times, but not before finishing assemble to check the condition of phase(the red light to warn will turn on
and any other movement won’t be executed) and limit,
2 ）Test of electric hoist with load only can be conducted after confirming the test without load goes normally, make sure
movement is normal and bearing parts is in good condition.

3 ）The operator shall familiarize with the structure, performance, safety regulations and this instruction of electric hoist.
4 ）The electric hoist shall be regularly inspected by professionals, take measure and have a record if there’s any fault. Be
sure to cut off the power supply and run it without load during reparation.
5 ）always keep the following points in mind while running the electric hoist:
Forbid to work beyond the range of working classification.
Forbid to carry any people
Forbid to stand under load
Forbid to lifting load when load is swinging
Should move hoist to place over head load, forbid any oblique lift.
The cam limit switch is a protective device, it shall not be used repeatedly; when the hoist is under the condition of spacing,
the hoist need to be moved in the reverse direction for some distance first, then back to the right direction.
Never lift anything connected to ground
Don’t press the button too frequently.
Never pull other objects by the cable of control pendant.
Make sure the tail rope is fixed tightly and the wire rope is within the normal range of usage.
2 、Maintenance
The electric wire rope hoist shall be regularly lubricated, and grease shall be added at certain time, the bearings of four
wheels shall be added with grease every 3-4 months once, grease in other relative parts where also fixed with bearing
or always move shall be replaced during annual overall inspection time. Surface of wire rope and drum must be
lubricated every three months. And regularly clean the cooling air channels of the motors
Don’t hang the load in air when the hoist stops working in case of some parts will deform permanently. Don’t forget to cut
off the power supply. Immediately cut off the current supply when any fault occurs during operation.
Keep an open eye on the vulnerable parts during operation. The vulnerable parts of SHA double girder type wire rope hoist
includes: wire rope、rope guider、pinch roller of rope guider、brake wheel of motor. Immediately change them as soon
as any abnormal founded.
After a period of using, wire rope should replaced or discarded as per Crane-Wire Rope-Code of Practice for examination
and Discard of ISO4309-1990, wire rope after replaced shall accord with the requirements mentioned below:

After cutting-short or renewal wire rope of the electric hoist, press rope block must stably fixed, and re-adjust limit switch.
