Aromatherapy Natural Skincare Recipes
Microwave Instructions:
1. Melt soap in micro-waveable container, on very low heat.
3. In a separate bowl/jar, mix essential oil and carrier oil and mix thoroughly.
Add this blend into soap making and be sure to stir this in thoroughly.
Botanicals, herbals extracts and cream/lotion should be added in at this point (these in
gredients are optional).
5. Leave mixture to harden for 48 hours, mixture should then be rock hard and ready for use
in your next bath or shower.
Handy Hits:
To get better results with your colouring, always mix dyes in a small amount of water
(about 10-15mls) and then slowly add to melted soap mixture until desired colour is
reached.
When melting the soap, make sure that all the soap is actually melted otherwise
fragments that are not melted will not absorb colour or scent.
Use 1-2% of essential oils in your soap recipes. For soaps made specifically for the
face and scalp use only 1% of essential oil.
Our soap is micro-waveable – this should be done on the lowest possible heat. Re-
member that melting point of soap is only 60 degrees celcius.
You can pre-grease moulds with a vegetable oil, soaps should be wrapped as soon as
they have set.
