Charge your headset
Plug the charging cord into your Oculus Quest Headset and a power source to begin charging it. The charging
indicator turns green once it's fully charged.
Adjust your headset
1. 1.
Loosen the side straps and then the top strap.
2. 2.
Starting from the back, put on your headset.

o Make sure to pull the back strap down until it cradles the base of your head.

o If you’re wearing glasses, put on the headset from the front first.

3. 3.
Tighten the side tabs and then top strap.

o Make sure that the straps aren't too tight. The headset should fit comfortably and not apply too
much pressure on your face and head.
Adjust your view
 With your hands holding both sides of your headset, slowly move your Oculus Quest up and down until the
picture is clear and the headset feels comfortable.

 If you wear glasses, insert the glasses spacer into your Oculus Quest headset prior to using it.

 If the image in your headset isn't clear, you can use your left thumb to move the image slider on the left of
the bottom of your headset to the left and right until the image is clear.
Once your headset is adjusted, follow the instructions in-VR and in the Oculus mobile app to complete the setup
process.
Troubleshooting
If you're having trouble completing the setup process, make sure your Wi-Fi signal is strong. If you have a weak
signal, try moving to another location. Quest must be set up on a secure, password protected network. Unsecured
networks can't be used for the setup process. Your Wi-Fi network can't use captive portals.

What’s the difference between turning my Oculus Quest 2 or Quest off and putting it to sleep?

When you’re not using your Oculus Quest 2 or Quest, it can either be put to sleep or turned off entirely.
Putting your headset to sleep
Putting your headset to sleep means that it will automatically “wake up” when it senses that the headset has been
placed on someone’s head. When your headset is in sleep mode, power will still drain from the device, although
much more slowly than when it’s in use.
You can put your headset to sleep by pressing the power button on your headset. You can wake it back up by placing
the headset on your head.
Turning your headset off
Turning your headset off means that the system is completely off, and will only turn on when the power button is held.
When your headset is turned off, much less power will be drained than if it were in sleep mode.
You can turn your Quest or Quest 2 off by holding down the power button for at least three seconds until the indicator
light turns off.

ADJUSTING FIT and FELL

What's IPD and how do I adjust it on my Oculus Quest 2 or Quest?,

Two terms that are often used when talking about headset adjustments and clarity are “IPD” and “lens spacing.”
 IPD stands for Inter Pupillary Distance, or simply put, the distance between your pupils.

 Lens spacing refers to the distance between the clearest spots on the two lenses inside your headset.
To achieve the best image clarity, lens spacing should line up with your IPD as much as possible. Quest headsets
best accommodate IPDs between 56 and 70 mm, or about 95% of adults.
Finding your IPD
If you're not sure what your IPD is, the best way to ensure the most accurate measurement is to see your optometrist.
If seeing an optometrist isn't an option, many companies that sell prescription glasses have online or app-based
resources to help you get an accurate IPD number at home.
Quest 2 IPD
To change the lens spacing on your Oculus Quest 2, gently adjust the lenses by shifting them together or apart.
There are three lens spacing settings for Quest 2.
If you know your IPD, the table below shows which lens spacing setting we suggest.

IPD Range Lens Spacing Setting

61 mm or
1 (narrowest, 58 mm)
smaller

61 mm to 66 mm 2 (middle, 63mm)
66mm or larger 3 (widest, 68mm)

Keep in mind that these are only suggestions, particularly if your IPD is on or near the edge of each lens spacing
setting’s suggested range. The best setting for you can depend on numerous factors, including things that can
change with each use, like where a piece of content has you directing your gaze or how the headset is positioned on
your face when you put it on. Don't hesitate to try a different lens spacing setting to see if it improves image clarity for
you.
Quest IPD
To change the IPD on your Oculus Quest: gently move the slider on the bottom left side of the headset from left, then
right.

How do I wear glasses while using my Oculus Quest 2 or Quest?

Before you wear your Oculus Quest 2 or Quest with glasses, check to make sure the width and height of your frames
are the following sizes:
 Width: 142mm or less

 Height: 50mm or less

Once you've made sure your glasses are the right size, insert the eyeglass spacer into your headset to provide a
larger fit.
To insert the eyeglass spacer:
1. 1.
Gently remove the facial interface foam from your headset.
2. 2.
Take the glasses spacer that came with your headset, and attach it to your headset by pressing it into place
where your facial interface foam just was.
3. 3.
Re-insert the facial interface foam back into place on top of the glasses spacer.
When you put on your headset with glasses, put it on from front to back. When you remove your headset, pull it
forward and then take it off.

FIRST STEPS in-VR

How much space do I need to use Oculus Quest 2 or Quest?

Using Oculus Touch controllers

Your Oculus Touch controllers are a pair of tracked controllers that give you hand presence — the feeling that your
virtual hands are actually your own. Touch controllers feature traditional action buttons, thumb-sticks and analog
triggers that add familiarity to new experiences.
Here's a few examples of what the Oculus Touch controller buttons can do:

 Trigger,   and   buttons select objects in your environment.

view.

Note: Individual apps may include their own tutorials for how to use the buttons on your Oculus Touch controllers.

If you're having trouble completing the setup process in-VR, you may see a pairing code in-VR.
To resolve the issue:

o Signing into Oculus with Facebook
