SUBJECT : CELEBRATION OF THE WORLD ANTIMICROBIAL

AWARENESS WEEK 2021

1. This is to inform all concerned regarding DepEd Memo DM-CI-2021-00480

regarding the above-mentioned subject.

2. In line with the Philippines’ national action plan to combat Antimicrobial

Resistance (AMR), the Department of Education enjoins all teaching and non-
teaching personnel, officials, learners and stakeholders to participate in the
Celebration of the World Antimicrobial Awareness Week with the theme,
“Spread Awareness, Stop Resistance.”

3. DepEd offices are urged to use online platforms to conceptualize beneficial

activities for teachers, students and their families. Learners’ voluntary
involvement and parental approval are required, and the activities must be
performed virtually and in accordance with the minimum social distancing and
health protocols.

4. Learners from all grade levels are invited to watch the animated short films on
November 22, 2021 thru DepEd’s social media platforms, DepEd’s Facebook
Page, DepEd Tayo and DepEd YouTube Channel. High School Learners (Grade
7 to 12) are invited to participate in and send entries to the contests hosted by
the DepEd Bureau of Learning Delivery on or before November 15, 2021.
