Cesar Montano played the role of Rizal. The actor done his part very well, his
lines our some sort the real words of Rizal. His action in the movie is so close to what is Rizal
before. The movie is a success, the cinematography is so excellent, and the other supporting
actors are so great in their acting skills. The portrayal dedication of the entire team to provide the
service in order to create back the trend of nationalism. The cinematography is not that good and
advance though efforts is visible to improve the visual capacity of Philippine Cinema. José
Rizal is a 1998 Filipino biographical film of the Filipino patriot José Rizal, directed by Marilou
Diaz-Abaya and starring . At the time of its release, it was the most expensive film in the history
of Filipino cinema with a budget of over ₱80 million. The film was an official entry to the 1998
Metro Manila Film Festival. Furthermore, the existing film contributes to the education
information dissemination to preserve the legacies of the national hero, the film setting is so
enormous shoot from different places to deliver the old setting of his life hence, “we should

To sum up, the movie “RIZAL SA DAPITAN is a masterpiece. The way

production team set the movie accurately, choosing of actors to lead the movie, and how the
Writer and Director conceptualize and organize the movie amazingly. We can see its uniqueness,
were not just watching a film but we are also learning and knowing our history.
