02. Nairobi Provincial Commissioners office repartitioning on the 10 th floor of Nyayo
house, Nairobi.
03. Nairobi Nyayo tea zone headquarters offices partitioning at Nyayo house, Nairobi.
04. Partitioning of offices at the Attorney generals chambers, Nairobi.
05. New offices for Kamiti sub-deport, for the department of Defence, Kahawa.
06. Extensions to Materials branch, Ministry of Works offices, Nairobi.
07. Voice of Kenya broadcasting headquarters in Nairobi, covering, perimeter fencing/
security walling, and Extensions to existing offices and ablutions.
08. Re - roofing of the Police headquarters, Ulinzi house in Nairobi,.
09. Re - roofing of the Kenya institute of administration chapel, Nairobi.
10. Probation department G.O.K, partitioning of offices in Uniafric house head office
Nairobi; and construction of one classroom and workshops at the Eastlands hostels,
Nairobi.
11. Defence staff compound (DSC), Karen, Nairobi, covering: Armed forces canteen
organisation (AFCO); and Conversions of Sergeants mess to offices, canteen and
cookhouse.

13. Kahawa garrison in, covering the following tasks: Rehabilitation of the motor
workshop; and extensions to the small arms workshop.
14. Department of Defence Headquarters, Nairobi, covering the tasks: General
rehabilitation of floors and roofs at the juniors mess building; Re - roofing of the
Hilton main offices block; Microfilming room; and extensions to the compound
residence of the Chief of general staff (CGS).
Most projects carried out during this period involved a lot of site measurements of existing
buildings and specification matching with works already implemented. The schemes would
by and large be awarded to up-coming contractors, who due to their lack of exposure
demanded much supervision. Site visits were definitely once or twice per week. In literary
all situations site visits would be lengthy, focusing on detail, to guarantee effective
interpretation by staff on site.

04. Proposed four bed-roomed residential Bungalow for Mr. P. N. Kamau, with double car
lockable garage, a staff quarters and a Master en-suite in Ngong, Kajiado district,

06. Proposed thirty numbers, one and two bed-roomed low cost housing scheme and
kindergarten for Mr. Mungai Njenga at Kinoo, Kiambu, Kenya.
07. Proposed three bed-roomed residential bungalow for Mr. R. S. M. Maringa at Ngaru,
Ndia in Kirinyaga, Kenya.
08. Proposed three bungalows each three bed-roomed for Mr. L. M. Mugo in Ngong,
Kajiado district, Kenya.
09. Proposed four bed-roomed bungalow for Mr. Maina at Kerugoya, Ndia in Kirinyaga,
Kenya.
10. Conversions of an existing staff quarters cum garage, into a two bed-roomed house at
Loresho for Scripture Union Africa, in Nairobi, Kenya.
Schemes 5, 7, and 10, were constructed under my direct supervision either on labour
contracts or on complete contract tender basis. The rest of the projects have either been
implemented by the clients independently or have been left at a design stage. In all
instances all these schemes were prepared and compiled to include working drawings, bills
of quantities, specifications and general cost estimates. This entailed consultation with
other professionals especially quantity surveyors and structural engineers.
