This is what a child's mind looks like. This is what a child is thinking. Child 2 Pre-Operational Stage The younger child will be in the Pre- Operational Stage, which is characterized by symbolic functions such as egocentrism, centralization, and so on. The youngster can create a mental representation of the process with the help of symbols. To provide an example, young boys can play with brooms as horses, and the reaction will be more delight of the imagination, and the attitude of being imaginative and symbolism will flourish even more.
