Justine – Lina CJ – Paolo and Narrator 2

Lorenz – Mama and Narrator 1 Jessiah – Jun-jun

Lorenz: To my fellow classmates especially to our most beautiful and loving

adviser Mrs. Alma C. Cawaling, a pleasant afternoon. We are the Group 6 and we
will present to all of you the true meaning of water pollution. We will now start
our role play. Sunday morning, Jen was at the beach, sitting and watching the
dirty and polluted sea when Lina, her bestfriend, saw her.

Justine: Jen what are you doing here?

Jeah: Ummm, it’s just that I can’t stand seeing my brother suffering in his disease.

Justine: Why? What happened?

Jeah: He is in the hospital right now.

Justine: You know what before, this sea was very clean but when human activities
became uncontrollable, it became polluted.

Jeah: You’re right. As you can see this place is full of garbage from people who
just throw their trash here, there and everywhere or in other words improper
waste disposal. Also this dirty and dark oil spill from tanks gives much more
burden to our sea.

Justine: Also fertilizers, pesticides and insecticides from agricultural activities and
toxins from household cleaning materials and factories.

Jeah: And look sediments from that construction site. Uhhh, I can’t believe that
some people don’t care about our environment. They don’t have any heart!

Justine: You know the effects of these activities are very dangerous. It can cause
the destruction of our coral reefs and other habitat of aquatic animals which can
lead to extinction of our marine life.

Jeah: yeah even us can be affected. Like if aquatic animals will die, we will also die
and fishermen will lose their work.

Justine: We can also get diseases from polluted or contaminated water.

Jeah: Just like my brother. He has Campylobacteriosis, an infectious disease
caused by bacteria of the genus Campylobacter. This disease is a serious life –
threatening infection.

Justine: Oh my, that’s a very serious disease!

Jeah: Yeah.

Justine: You know what; we must have solutions to these serious problems!

Jeah: Like what?

Justine: Like segregating our garbage and applying the 3 Rs, reduce, reuse and
recycle.

Jeah: Also we must avoid using toxins and chemicals that can affect our
freshwater resources.

Justine: And we must report to our Government, DENR and Barangay officials
what is happening in our environment so that they can find an action to these
problems.

Jeah: Like, they must enclose the places that are affected by oil spill and to stop
the construction of buildings near at our freshwater resources.

Justine: So what are we waiting for, let’s go start now!

Lorenz: But before they can go Paolo, Jen’s uncle, approach them.

CJ: (Hinihika sa kakatakbo) Jen! Jen! Jen!

Jeah: Tito Paolo!

CJ: Jen, go now to the hospital your brother is close to death!!!

Jeah: What!!!!

CJ: Go now and hurry!!!

CJ (Narrator): Jen and Lina hurriedly went to the hospital. When they arrived…..

--------- EVERYONE IS CRYING ------------

Leandrei: Jen!

Jeah: Pa, where’s Jun-jun?

------------ Leandrie turo sa left -------------

Jeah: Ma….

Lorenz: Jen, Jun is dead!!!!! Water pollution killed him!!!!!

-------- Iyak ng todo – todo!!!!! ---------

CJ: Water pollution can kill a person. It occurs when pollutants are directly or
indirectly discharged into water bodies without adequate treatment to harmful
compounds. Guys answer me, do you want that pollution will take over our world
and kill all the living things? So if all of your answers is no, then we must start
now to save, take care, protect and clean our ENVIRONMENT!!!!!!!
