Directions: Compare teaching as a vocation/mission profession to something by completing this

Activity 2. Discovering your Life’s Calling

Directions: Watch in the youtube “Discovering Your Life’s True Calling Lou Sabrina Ongkiko. Based
on the video that you just watched, what is our life’s true calling? How can you apply that in your calling
to teach? Write an essay of not less than 200 words as a reflection of the video you just watched.

Teaching profession is not an easy job, they will be encounter all sacrifices and challenges in their
journey as an educator. Manny of us never understand and minds the true meaning of life’s true calling,
some of them do their job to get paid and never look the pretty side of teaching profession. Teaching is
not only a profession but also a mission and a responsible to cure the issues in our society. After watching
the video of Teacher Sabrina who love her passion in teaching it gives me a lot of realization and
knowledge about what is our life's true calling.

We have different purposes in our life, but why we chose to teach? And what is your purpose of
getting this profession. Teaching profession is a passion to have a better purpose, the passion that we
love, the passion of sharing knowledge, the passion of giving success and a passion of giving thanks.
Children have the same set up in the school, same in skills and same in hobbies but the only different is
having an opportunity. Teaching profession need to believe her/himself to make all of his/her best to fulfill
the learning deficiency.

The call is not to teach and the call is not in our profession. The true call has always been to love,
love and hope has no gender it is how you were able to love. When we strive to love, our purpose
becomes clear, we are more determine to address our context and lastly we continue to hope and believe
because we love.
