 Lesson Plan- It is the teachers’ road map of what students need to learn and
how it will be done effectively during the class time.

Parts of the Lesson Plan

I. Objectives
- Provides goals to be attained, give direction to the class discussion,
and call outcomes what to expect.
CHARACTERISTICS:

Specific
Measurable
Attainable
Result Oriented
Time Bounded

A. General
- Usually broad in scope and may be the objective of the course,
subject or semester. It cannot be attain in one lesson.
B. Specific
- Usually attainable in a specific lesson contributes to the
accomplishing of the general aim.
II. Subject Matter
- Should be stated in the lesson plan. Its sources are textbooks,
library references, etc.
III. Materials
- Materials are necessary aid to teaching and should be included in the
lesson plan.
- Materials include teaching aids and devices such as: maps, graphs
flash cards, pictures, objects, slides, radio, TV and movies.
IV. Procedures
- It is very important of the lesson plan. These include both pupil and
teacher activity in the detailed plan.
V. Assignment
- A lesson plan is incomplete without the assignment.
- A good assignment ensures a good recitation because it tells
definitely what is to be done, how it is to be done, and why it must be
done.
Suggestion in making lesson planning

 A lesson plan is an aid to teaching.


 A lesson plan should not be too detailed.
 Lessons should be planned with in time allotment for the subject.
 The textbook should not be regarded as infallible.
 The plan may serve as a basis for future plans and a means of evaluation
to success of learning.
