Sample Computation of Internal Consistency Method using Coder Richard Zone formula 20

Mr. Cruz administered a 15-item true or false test for his P.E subject for Academic

Purposes class. Below are the scores of 40 students. Find the reliability coefficient using the

KR-20 Formula and interpret the computed value, solve also the coefficient of determination.

KR20= 0.51 This means that it suggest a need for revision of test and needs to be

supplemented by other measures for grading.

Coefficient of determination

Coefficient of determination= (0.51)2

= 0.2601 x 100

= 26.01% This means that 26.01% of the variance in students’ performance can be

attributed to the test.
