Trafalgar Square Paper Model

Instructions
1. Begin by cutting out the two shapes on page 1. Cut along the thick black lines,
making sure that you cut the lines next to tabs 3, 6 and 7. These shapes will
form the lion.
2. Fold all dotted lines into a hill fold (folded downwards) or valley fold (folded
upwards) as shown on the key. Note the two valley folds on the lion’s sides
and one above the front legs.
3. Apply glue to tab 1 and stick to the underside of the lion’s back.
4. Apply glue to tabs 2 and 3 and stick to the underside of the lion’s bottom.
5. Apply glue to tabs 4 and 5 and stick to the underside of the lion’s neck.
6. Apply glue to tabs 6 and 7 and stick to the underside of the lion’s cheeks.
7. Apply glue to tabs 8 and 9 and stick these to the corresponding tabs on the
lion’s head. The lion is now complete.
8. Cut out the shape on page 2 by cutting along the thick black lines. These
shapes will form the plinth that the lion sits upon.
9. Fold all dotted lines into a hill fold (folded downwards) as shown on the key.
10. Apply glue to tabs 10 and 11 and stick to the underside of the back of the plinth.
11. Apply glue to tabs 12 and 13 and stick to the underside of the front of the plinth.
12. Apply glue to the underside of the lion’s front legs and to the tab below the
lion’s tail. Stick the lion’s front legs to area 14 and the rear flap to area 15.
The Trafalgar Square Lion Model is now complete!
