A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SANGGUNIANG KABATAAN

CHAIRPERSON AND SANGGUNIANG KABATAAN TREASURER TO OPEN A BANK
ACCOUNT AT LANDBANK OF THE PHILIPPINES

WHEREAS, section 20 (a) of RA 10742 states that the Ten percent (10%) of the general fund shall be set
aside for the Sangguniang Kabataan. The Sangguniang Barangay shall appropriate the Sangguniang
Kabataan funds in lump-sum which shall be disbursed solely for the youth development and
empowerment purposes;

WHEREAS, section 20 (b) of RA 10742 states that the Sangguniang Kabataan shall have financial
independence in its operations, disbursement and encashment of their fund, income and expenditures. As
such, the Sangguniang Kabataan the Sangguniang Kabataan funds shall be deposited in the name of the
Sangguniang Kabataan of the concerned barangay in a government-owned bank situated or nearest to its
area of jurisdiction with the Sangguniang Kabataan chairperson and the Sanguniang Kabataan Treasurer
as the official signatories;

WHEREAS, whereas SK Chairperson Jimart Naingue and SK Treasurer Rhoda Cabasal has been
approved and duly entered in the Registry of Bonded Public Officers maintained by the office of
Provincial Bureau of Treasury.

WHEREAS, the Ten percent (10%) SK Fund from the general fund shall be transferred to the bank
account to be opened and will serve as the official bank account of Sangguniang Kabataan and will be
used in their financial transactions and disbursement in implementing different programs, projects and
activities that will benefits the youth in Barangay Ipilan;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE
SANGGUNIANG BARANGAY OF BARANGAY IPILAN, A resolution authorizing the Sangguniang
Kabataan Chairperson and Sangguniang Kabataan Treasurer to open a bank account;

RESOLVED FURTHER that copy of this resolution be forwarded to the Landbank of the Philippines,
DILG, Municipal Treasurers Offices, Accounting Office, Budget office and other offices/agencies
concerned for their appropriate action and reference;

APPROVED.

Sangguniang Kabataan during its special meeting held on June 02, 2021 at Barangay Session Hall.
