Introduction
This document provides questions to help understand your company’s current Modern Workplace
environment in order to help support a quick onramp to Microsoft 365.
The sample questionnaire below walks you through a set of questions to confirm that your
organization is ready for the successful rollout of Microsoft Teams Phone capabilities including Teams
Calling Plans, Direct Routing, Operator Connect and Audio Conferencing.
The questionnaire is divided into multiple sections to confirm your organization’s readiness for your
Teams deployment in several major areas. Work with your project team to provide the requested
information with as much detail as possible to facilitate your planning activities.

Work through the list and add an appropriate priority to capture the importance of each
functional area to the organization. You can then present this table back as part of your
roadmap.
Note: Choose a prioritization mechanism that makes sense to the customer based upon their
identified business requirements. For example, in some situations it might be logical to use “High,
Medium and Low” prioritization. For others a prioritized list might make more sense. The prioritization
will help you create a roadmap of next steps.
Communicating via Messaging
During the conversation feel free to share details (if appropriate) about any key features the customer will
need. Some features may need configuration, others will require user education.
Ensure that these opportunities are included in the roadmap and offer created for the customer.
These are broken into 3 main areas with smaller sub-sections:
Communications
Meetings Services
Company-wide collaboration
The emphasis is on Communications, but Meetings and Collaboration will play an important part in the
overall understanding of the desired solutions.
The following tables define some basic IT requirements so we can understand the customers position today
and where they think they would like to be in the future. These may be needed for IT capability or to enable
the business objectives.
Work through the tables with the customer to identify which Level needs to be targeted for a Microsoft
Teams Phone deployment, Meetings and Collaboration.
