Linear Circuit Analysis (Theory)

Course Code: EEN-110
Credit Hours: 3
Pre requisite: None
Objectives: This is a basic level course emphasizing on the
application of basic circuit techniques. This course
introduces the methods for the formulation of linear
equations to represent circuits using Mesh and Super-
mesh analysis, nodal and Super-node analysis. The
concept of linearity and its applications is accentuated by
familiarizing the students with superposition, Thevenin
and Norton Theorems. The students are also acquainted
with the applications of differential equations by
introducing methods for formulating differential
equations for first order source free and driven RL and
RC circuits.
Course Learning Outcomes CLO 1: (C2): The student will be able to describe different
(CLOs): circuit analysis techniques.
CLO 2: (C3): The student will be able to solve electrical
circuits using different circuit analysis techniques.
