BAKING CHICKEN THIGHS FOR BEGINNERS

Required Equipment
● 26” x 18” Sheet Pan ● Nonstick Cooking Spray
● Heat Resistant Oven Gloves ● Meat Thermometer
● Up to 8 Uncooked Chicken Thighs ● (Optional) Kitchen Scissors
● Timer

Preparation
1. Thaw chicken by placing the chicken in the sink for 5 hours or placing the
chicken in a hot water bath (~140°F) for 30 minutes.
2. Set the oven temperature to 400 °F.
3. Cover the sheet pan in a layer of nonstick spray.
4. Rinse the chicken in the sink.
5. (Optional) Use scissors to remove the skin from the chicken.
6. Place the chicken in the sheet pan.

Cooking
1. Using the oven gloves, place the sheet
pan in the oven.
2. Set a timer for 35 minutes.
3. Upon timer completion, use the meat
thermometer to check the internal
temperature of the chicken.
Skip to step 5 if the temperature is
higher than 165 °F.
4. Leaving the chicken in the oven, set a
timer for 5 minutes.
Go back to Step 3.
5. Using the oven gloves, remove the sheet
pan from the oven.
6. Let chicken cool for 5 minutes before
serving.
